‘Tis the Season for Militant Folly, fa-la-la-la-laaa
Every year I complain about how fast the Christmas decorations go up. Used to be, when I was a kid, the turkey leftovers from Thanksgiving were actually cooling before the Christmas decorations and sales and such started jamming our airwaves, filling our store shelves, or filling the papers with ads.
OK. Those days are gone. I’m ok with that. We’ll call it “progress”. Sure.
Today, what we get is a slow holiday build commencing somewhere around (or even before) Halloween.
Ok. Ok. Things change. But some things change that I just can’t stomach without calling “foul”.
Increasingly, every year, there are more and more from the “left” who are becoming more emboldened to attack, thwart, and stifle Christmas images. They attack pilgrim and Indian imagery being portrayed in our schools for Thanksgiving. They show up at manger scenes and defile them. The rant and rave in churches about “gay” being “ok” during services.
I don’t need to give you links to the most recent stories. I don’t need to give you links to the past stories. All you need to do is simply pay attention to any local or national news and over the next 4-5 weeks you will see an army of assholes who are going to come running from the shadows screaming out for “equality”, and the way they will try to prove it is by trying to remove the rights of others. Think about the ridiculousness of that. “I will make myself equal to you by silencing you, terrorizing you, vandalizing your efforts, or beating you into submission.”
And the left preaches that they are the more peaceful of the two partisan pieces of pie.
Gays will attack Christianity by disrupting sermons with drag queens kissing and transvestites looking like some abomination of sexuality; atheists will attack the Créche; overzealous parents will complain that the word “Christmas” appears on a school calendar; schools will be pressured into calling their “Christmas Trees” “Holiday Trees”; “Happy Holidays” will be shoved down your throat as a moderate attempt to please everyone, even though it ignores the overwhelming high percentage of Americans who wish it to remain “Merry Christmas”… and the list will go on and on…
It is hard enough for me to think about the changes in our holiday season starting earlier than it ever has. I have a hard time with the old standards we all loved on TV losing their popularity to more modern shows. But while traditions of every sort may naturally come and go, I have a hard time seeing some of them go simply because people on the right buckle to assholes on the left who toss dog crap on Jesus statues.
People, it is a battle. It is ongoing. It is for you to save, not “the other guy”.
Write your appropriate representatives every year, at every level, down to the City Council, regarding your local issues concerning the preservation of our holiday heritage. Write your local papers (letter to editor, etc…). Show support at events that support your views. Pressure your schools and school boards to keep Christmas on your calendars; on the tree name; on the pageant/show/concert name. Patronize stores who have Salvation Army bell ringers, and those who say “Christmas” in their ads. Patronize stores whose employees freely say Merry Christmas at the checkout stand.
Do not quietly allow yourselves to be pushed into the margin by the minority. It is very hard to reverse if you let it go too far.
And, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas.
Barack Obama wins the Presidency… What HAPPENS? POLL
Barack Obama becomes President… A House largely controlled by liberal democrats, and a Senate that has nearly a filibuster-proof majority.
What do you think will happen?
Please vote. Then, go VOTE on Tuesday.
(It became ABUNDANTLY clear that immediately after posting this poll, the “Left” put a great deal of energy into ’swaying’ the validity and appearance of the vote or ‘pulse’ of the country, by collectively trying to make the poll come out in a way that would satisfy their needs. This was made clear when one looks at who/whom came from “where” to vote.
I will still leave the poll up, however, as evidence of - well.. you decide what it is evidence of… and vote. Here, AND on Tuesday…)
If you are on the “right”, and still mad because McCain won the nomination, you will not be serving anyone but the left by sitting at home on Tuesday, fuming, thinking “I will show THEM!”
You will hand the lefties the keys to the City on the hill, with a thousand lights… you see?

Water Boarding- Surf’s Up!
The Dims are bashing President Bush’s veto of a bill that would prohibit waterboarding. I personally like ocean sports, and I am happy to see that we can all hope that the CIA will keep their lifejackets on for a while.
Bush stated that this is the wrong time to restrict a practice that has saved American lives. I agree. The opposition states it will cost American lives, and that it will endanger prisoners of war. Apparently they have not seen video of Daniel Pearl or others having their heads cut off. I don’t think you can endanger any of our people any more than they already are, nor can you tout anecdotal evidence of any kind that indicates that the response has been “ramped up” by the enemy in response to water boarding.
Surf’s up…
Obama for VP?
Republicans are so principled as to be sometimes backwards in their thinking, creating “cut off your nose to spite your face” scenarios. I have to love my fellow GOP’ers for holding such staunch positions on principles that thier logic becomes mindbending. Liberals on the other hand will
Because He’s Black
Barack Obama has risen to Rock Star status. People faint at his rallies, which overshadow by thousands the rallies of Hillary Clinton. Without a doubt, the union of the two O’s, Obama and Oprah, has helped him immensely. Dealing with Hillary as an opponent is also an advantage, as she is so unlikeable. He pontificates and waxes philosophical with platitudes immensely broad enough to cover every persons desire while at the same time saying nothing about the specifics of achieving those goals. Speaking from on high with an oratorial tone, his doe eyed face scowling and rarely smiling, Barack Obama has found a formula for getting people to rally behind him… hell, I think they would carry him on a throne right now if they could.
But, it is not what is “obvious” about why some people would vote for Barrack that I am concerned with. I am more concerned with the less covered, less obvious reason why some people want to, or will, vote for him. We have heard it murmured here and there, over the months, but rarely covered. It is almost as though it is taboo…
…some will vote for Barrack because

Hey! America has a NEW FRIEND! Iranian President Ahmadinejad has sent his congratulations to President Elect Obama! This is our first sign of "Hope" and "Change". "Yes we CAN befriend idiots!" Thanks Barack!!!
Miserable campaign. Miserable circumstances economically. Not the greatest VP choice. OUTSTANDING concession speech. Made me proud.
Michael Moore, gushing hope in his own personal message to us all, stated "But today we celebrate this triumph of decency over personal attack, of peace over war, of intelligence over a belief that Adam and Eve rode around on dinosaurs just 6,000 years ago." Wow. I'm at a loss for words. This doesn't even deserve more than that word- "Wow". Does obesity cloud the brain, too?
