Obama’s Cries “Uncle”

Obama recently stated that his Uncle (or someraig. Uncle) liberated prisoners in Auschwitz, and then subsequently came home and sat in an attic for 6 months.

Apparently Obama’s Uncle was a Russian (sarcasm), as the US troops never even saw Auschwitz. (Auschwitz was liberated by the Russian Army.) And to add insult to injury to this audacious attempt to try to sound as though one has “gravitas” because one has relatives who “did something important “, this Harvard Grad-idiot would have you believe the following:

Obama’s Gamble

Attempting to clean up the aftermath of Jeremy Wright…

Barack Obama is going to be appearing at a television screen near you. Mr. “avoid the news media” is scheduled to be on a variety of shows in the coming days, presumably in an attempt to clean up the image damage left in the wake of what I will call “Jeremy Wright’s racism perpetuation campaign”. Oh, yeah… I should say “talk shows”, not hard news shows… Those people ask hard questions.

It seems as though Obama has a few new problems as well. One is this new revelation of a super delegate who supports Obama, who sounds as racist in his rants as Wright did; and another is the comment he made about his grandmother today.

The real problem for Obama is that he has nothing to “turn the page” to. The news cycle is not providing adequate cover for him (meaning, there are no powerful political issues for him to latch onto), so he is

“The Audacity of Rationalizing”

Obama’s Mistakes

In a speech given today in Philadelphia, Barack Obama finally proved he is fallible. While many other pundits and sites will be talking about some other more obvious problems with Obama’s forlorn attempt at being as powerful with a speech as Lincoln, or MLK, I am going to target some of the more difficult to spot concerns.

1. Conditional Hypocritical Patriotism

Who is this man?

ObamaFlag

Is this possibly the man who does not like to put his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance? Is this the man who will not wear a lapel Flag Pin? Is this the man who feels it is to jingoistic and disingenuous to act patriotic in a celebratory manner?

Well then, what the hell is he doing surrounded by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8… yes EIGHT… US flags during his speech on which his political career will pivot?

2. Rationalization of Behavior

This excerpt from the speech really set me off:

“Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely - just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors,

Obama Intends to Enlighten Us

Barack Obama has made it clear that he intends to give a speech on Wednesday, in which he will probably try his damndest to distance himself from Pastor Wright. Expect to hear the word “former” a lot in this speech.

Obama won’t answer questions about the Pastor at this point. Even after his speech, he does not intend to answer questions. I don’t find this transparent; I don’t find this mature or manly; and I don’t find this avoidance of taking questions to be very courageous. Obama knows that answering questions keeps it alive, and he just wants to kill this as soon as possible. But avoiding answering questions will hurt him, this time.

Obama said “I think

Obama and Clinton Ticket?

Plenty of rumor revloving around the hints and subliminal signals from Hillary suggesting that some kind of joint ticket deal is a possibility. I am amazed at how many of the more solid GOP pundits actually are falling for that one. The possibility is about ZERO, as I have said before.

Why? Not because they could not win. Not because it would not be beneficial to their party. And not because Hillary would not suggest it or benefit from it.

The reason is, Obama

And Along Came the White Knight Nader

And Along Came the White Knight Nader

As predicted (on this blog) the first of two spoilers is now in the race. Ralph Nader has tossed his pinhead shaped hat into the ring, thus potentially hurting the Democrats, and helping McCain. There is no question that Nader pulls more voters from the ranks of liberals, and this has to be very very bad news for the “Yes We Can” hope brigade of Barack Obama.

Don’t get me wrong, I do respect Nader, for some of his work, and some of his ideological strength. But, you have to admit, as a Presidential candidate, the man is nothing more than

Primaries divide. This year, it appears they have the potential to divide even more than normal. Some Conservatives are even frazzled to the point that they are starting to sound as emotionally as irrational as many on the left are daily. But more on that near the end.

Obama and Billary are looking to take this possibly to the Convention. Super Delegates, and the Florida and Michigan delegates, which are diluted and standing out due to the States

Calling the Bluff of the Childish Rantings on the Right

Calling the Bluff of the Childish Rantings on the Right

Listening to the likes of Dobson and Coulter lately, as well as many other of the more far right conservative talking heads is like listening to children making threats. I remember when I was a child thinking “Oh yeah???!! Well, I will just kill myself, and THEN you will be sorry!” (I am not sure every kid thought such things, but I do think every kid does think silly things when they don’t get their way.)

Coulter’s position, stated on TV a couple of days ago, is that she will

Well, Kreskin I ain’t, but after today I have to say that my prediction last week of McCain taking the Republican nomination is looking more and more accurate. And again, I have to reiterate that this is not what I am cheering for, but rather this is simply how I see it playing out.

With a sound victory today in Florida, Senator “I get it… Border security FIRST!” looks to be headed in the direction of a Super Tuesday victory,

The utterly BRILLIANT left wing ideologue scientist, Nobel winner, internet creator, and "Champion of the chad recount", Al Gore has once again wowed us with some more amazing feats of observation. Gore says the most recent Myanmar tragedy, Cyclone Nargis, which claimed 200,000 lives, was the result of Global Warming. Nice job, Nostradamus. This has brought on a chorus of rejection from scientists worldwide that claim that NO storm could be directly attributed to either the global warming phenom OR the science... neither of which could support Gore's claims. And this is supposed to be one of the left's "best". God help us. He could have been PRESIDENT.

The passing of Tim Russert brings to mind, for me, the importance of excellent journalism. Russert was one of the finest. While loving life, he would still grill your butt on anything that was the buzz... no free passes, and he understood that journalism was the 4th branch of the US democratic process. Our US political process and the field of Journalism will sorely miss Tim Russert.
  • The most stupidest dumbest ignorantest thang I have heard from the left lately...

Paul Begala, bomb throwing liberal pundit and talk show man, recently made clear what the left truly thinks. And remember, the "left" is supposed to be the party that blacks should love and vote for. Said Begala "We cannot win with egg heads and African-Americans. OK, that is the Dukakis Coalition, which carried ten states and gave us four years of the first George Bush." I totally agree by the way. You cannot win with only black Americans. You CAN win with only eggheads, though... This insinuation that African American support of Obama is the reason for Obama having ANY chance is correct. I think what Begala is saying is the same thing Clinton is saying, in a more veiled way. And I think what Begala is trying to say is "Obama is propped up by an African American vote- and that is IT. He cannot win without it." I agree... but I think it is a stupid to take that approach, or point out such a point of view, especially if you are a person from the party that claims (falsely) to represent the black community BEST.
