Why Rove left the White House

Why Rove left the White House

If you want to create a reaction in a liberal akin to the hair raising on the back of a dog, you really only have to say a two words. Which words?

“Bush & Cheney” comes to mind. That oughta be enough to get the bile running. But that is not what I have in mind. “Facts and honesty” come to mind… but, well, one of those, let alone both, in the same sentence, for a liberal? Stephen King could not write a more terrifying single word for a liberal than “fact”, let alone using both “fact” AND “honesty” in the same sentence. Pelosi would shiver. Reid just might pee his pants. Or panties. I really wonder about that soft voice of his.

Another word they seem to keep in their toolbox is “unfair”. But I don’t have a second word to go with that, except “ACLU”.

No… the two words I am looking for are “Karl” and “Rove”. Terrifying.

You know, I bet if you ran an ad in a liberal town that Karl Rove was moving in that you would wind up with a spike in the sale of Depends brand adult diapers. I would not be surprised if local legislators tried to pass an ordinance that applied the same restrictions on Rove as they do on sex offenders. I can imagine that if Karl drove into a liberal town in a Camry, that there would be 47 new trade-in Camry’s in lots around town by the next weekend.

Karl Rove is kryptonite for liberals. Karl Rove might as well be Hitler, for some liberals. Salivation, rabid eyes, the sudden ability to cast more than one vote in elections… these are all manifestations of the left when the name “Rove” is involved. I have heard, and mind you, it is JUST a rumor… that DEAD people even rise to vote “Democrat” in places like Chicago, when Karl Rove is involved with the process. And while I can’t substantiate it, even dogs are registered to vote on the Democrat side- ALL because of the power of Karl Rove.

So- you can imagine the glee of the left when Karl left the White House. And the rumors flew. Most of them hilarious paranoid delusional affectations of inept liberal minds driven by emotion and hatred of “authority”.

Rumors like “He is leaving to protect himself or Bush from the Libby scandal!” Or, “He is going to leave the Country to protect Bush!” Or even “Bush is firing Rove to make him the scapegoat for “insert your complaint here”.”

As in most of the world of the irrational, none of this has come to pass. And, I have to say that not much of the media is reporting what I want to say about this. So I pride myself in pointing out (as I do from time to time) an original point of view, and an original take on the story-

“Why did Karl Rove leave the White House?”

Well, now, the real terror begins for the liberal.

While I could tease you with a paragraph or two talking about how Paul has some kind of great machination in mind, some elusive grand plan which includes Haliburton and Cheney and Enron execs… I will just tell you exactly why Rove left the White House. And this might be scarier to a liberal than anything else I could dream up:

He did it to help the GOP run their party nominee to the White House, no matter who it is.

Rove has been increasingly visible on TV. Obviously he is not running from the press. And he is not running from pontificating as to what is going on in the GOP primary process. Of course, at this point, he is not in the business of declaring a candidate for support. But nobody in the political world would be safe betting that this mechanic of the raceway of politics is not keeping his toolbox close for hire for a few pit stops of service for the next GOP nominee.

In the words of the little blond girl in Poltergeist… “They’re BAAaaaaaack…”

Rove was never gone. And Rove did not leave for the reasons that one might find on the internet “paranoia” sites of the left. Going into the final year or year and half, Rove was of little political use to G.W., and he is obviously of great use to the party outside of the White House. It is really not helpful for an adviser of Rove’s capability to be sitting in the advisory capacity he was to G.W., especially considering the tone in Washington, when he could be out on the road helping out the party when it comes to ‘08.

Rove left for one reason… to help tool the next GOP nominee, when we have one.

Liberals, be afraid.

Be very afraid.

  1. NeoConservatism is hardly Conservativism. These dudes are Radical Zionists and are much more dangerous than Muslims.

  2. I’m not very familiar with the neoconservative, or the other types of conservative I hear of.

I’m probably mostly a mainstream conservative, one who feels as if national security is the top priority, even during peacetime, one who also feels that lower taxes do more to stimulate an economy as opposed to higher taxes and spendng, and also one who believes in tradional American values.

Yeah, I’m for the common hard-working man, and I have the same concerns that liberals have pertaining to trends where many of the good jobs have disappeared, but don’t conservatives have similiar concerns. I’m not conservative because I want to keep the status quo, and I also believe that conservatism and progress while maintaining values go hand-in-hand.

  3. My wife and I pray for Karl Rove every day. We love him.

  4. It is laughable that anyone could support K. Rove the best spin doctor since Adolph. I believe in conservatism. Bush putting our country several trillion dollars in debt to war against a third world country with serious religious issues is quite insane. I know that Kennedy wanted to stop the spread of communism when he escalated Vietnam. Still I wonder if he wasn’t trying to help catholics beat down budhists.
Now we have a very similar situation 40 years later with the Sunni and Shiite issue. Throw in some Kurds for good measure and explain how great Democracy is and that any intelligent person would be a fool to not embrace it. Oh yeah, not to mention the tens of thousands of their close relatives and friends we’ve already slain.

  5. George W. parading around and holding the hand of a Saudi Prince like they are allies of ours. Take a poll in Saudi Arabia and see how many of those scum think 911 was great. Fact over 60% of the hi- jackers hailed from Saudi Arabia. Fact #2 the Bush administration rounded up all the Bin Ladens and flew them to Saudi Arabia after the 911 attack and before they could be questioned about Osama. This was on Bushs’order as US airspace was totally shut down at the time and this order came from the President himself. I saw an interview of Saudi High School Kids after 911 and they thought it was pretty cool. Bush asked the Saudis to increase production several times and they just smile and say that the oil supply doesn’t really effect the prices it is a lack of refineries that has driven the price up. it’s not the $130 a barrel oil but a lack of refineries. The bottom line is that fossil fuels are dead! All the money wasted in Iraq could have built a great infrastructure of green reliable energy. No Iraqis were involved in 911 and we’ve accidentally killed tens of thousands.
