Vacillator in Chief

I never cease to be amazed with the lack of apparent wisdom and experience from this administration. We who saw it coming tried to warn the masses, but, alas, they wanted to vote for the pop star icon American Idol style idiot community organizer.

The most current news headlines continue to swirl around the topic of who knew what, when, about interrogation techniques. They swirl around who is telling the truth. They swirl around who deceived who, and who told what to whom when.

Is this really the issue?

I contest, NO.

What is really the issue here? What is the REAL big story everyone is MISSING?

  • Whether or not waterboarding IS torture? NO.
  • Whether Pelosi is a misleading corrupt game player? NO.
  • Dick Cheney is a caustic bastard hate piñata for the left? NO.
  • Whether torture or not, do “enhanced interrogation techniques” work? NO.

No- what is at stake here is, does this President UNDERSTAND how to wage a war on terrorists? Hell… they don’t even acknowledge them AS terrorists…

The leader of the free world is not on the right page. The leader of the free world is not informed. The leader of the free world is so inexperienced he is constantly changing his points of view (always after getting the facts, not before). He and his administration are:

  • Calling it a “Contingency Plan” and not a “War on Terror”.
  • Closing Gitmo- WAIT! Not sure yet…
  • Releasing detainee photographs… WAIT! Not sure yet…
  • Stopping rendition- WAIT! Not sure yet…
  • Ceasing military tribunals- WAIT! Not sure yet…
  • Flying huge jets over New York City without proper common sense warnings to the people/political services/media of that area

What is the point I am making?

Barry – is not – and never was- ready for prime time. He is a savvy, classy well spoken talking head car salesman community organizer. I don’t recall any community organizer’s having terrorist experience.

We are now focused on the WRONG THINGS because Barry could not resist trying to make a political point by releasing the documents concerning waterboarding and interrogation techniques.

What Barry did was make a political football out of intelligence, without first considering what kind of blow out would follow. Now that this nimrod has let the intel out, people like Cheney and Pelosi and countless others are NOW playing tit for tat with intel based arguments. The fighting is escalating. In the end, the only winners will be the terrorists.

What I am trying to say here is really simple, and it is easier to make the case every additional week this fool is in office:

Barack Obama does NOT have the skills to deal with a worldwide war on terror.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, number TWO after Biden in line of succession to the Presidency, cannot be trusted with the war on terror.

And Biden. Well, he just can’t be trusted to talk daily.

People. Listen…

The real story here is – Barry decided to release documents that have taken our country into a political tornado about things we should really not even be discussing in the “public” arena. Barry released what HE wanted to, FOR political reasons. Similar to promising to close GITMO; promising to stop tribunals; wanting to expose photos— in the end, this dipshit is NOW realizing, after he has been educated, that is NOT in the best interest of our country. Yet, still, he makes rash decisions, and rings bells he can’t un-ring.

Barry, when he let out the information concerning the interrogation methods, obviously did not think it out very clearly… He did not think it through clearly. And now that Pelosi and Cheney and others are “digging” holes for our national security by driving public interest (which will drive the press to push push push), our dipshit in cheif is thinking “Wow, much like GITMO closing and other things, I probably oughta THUNK before I shot my mouth off…”

The real story isn’t torture. It isn’t GITMO. It isn’t any of all of this. Instead, it is-

  1. CAN Barry think clearly enough day to day to make good decisions he doesn’t have to recant days later?
  2. Is our leadership trying to drive political gains, or American security gains?

That is the story, folks, not the other stuff.

We ARE where we ARE  regarding national security issues because of one thing-

Barry is playing politics with it, and can’t make up his damn mind because he is learning on the job…

    BRAVEHEART VS. OBAMA

Some of the lines from the movie “Braveheart” struck me like a hammer the last time I popped in the tape. Here they are:

    1) After York had been sacked by William Wallace, Longshanks knew he would have to bribe Wallace as he had bribed all the other Scottish “nobles” with land and gold. The Longshanks character said this: “Who will go to him? Not I, not my gentle son. The mere sight of him would only encourage our enemies to take over the whole country.”

Longshanks knew that his son’s weak/feminine character would make him a target, and so it is with President Obama. I am not accusing President Obama of being feminine but of playing war like a gentleman’s sport. War is ugly, bloody and some men die. Mr. Obama, never having been to war and being decidedly anti-war, doesn’t understand.

    2) The Braveheart character said: “Men do not follow titles, they follow courage.” Where is your courage, Mr. Obama? You play political games with our national security.

    3) Braveheart told the nobles, “You think the people of this country exist to provide you with position but your position exists to provide the people with freedom.”

Today our insanely divided and corrupt Congress doesn’t want to understand what their job is. They serve themselves for political or financial gain and ignore THE PEOPLE because they can.

Leave Gitmo alone, Mr. President. You have turned it into a political plaything. Gitmo has a purpose it serves well. It is not tainted and its name is not a condemnation. Only someone looking at Gitmo through the eyes of a terrorist would believe that and since when do we exist to serve the delicate religious sensibilities of terrorists?

Gitmo serves as a deterrent to terrorism, not a recruiting tool, and we need every deterrent we can get, Mr. President, because you present yourself as a wussy, vascillating nubie. I contend that your words, your appearance and your policies invite terrorists to “take over the whole country.”

Leave waterboarding in the playbook of enhanced interrogation methods. If waterboarding is the worst this country offers after 9/11 then we are a country of saints.

Stop telling me about “our values” on TV because your values aren’t mine. You make it sound like everyone believes what you do and they don’t. There are plenty of people like me who say leave Gitmo alone and leave waterboarding alone.

Get our national security squabbling off of TV. All you do is strengthen the resolve of our enemies by presenting your “polite and correct” policies of war to worldwide scrutiny. People want to lop your head off, Mr. President, and most of them live outside the U.S. When will you understand this?

Why did you even consider offering up the pictures of interrogation? Even a nubie could see the mistake.

Get Nancy Pelosi to shut up or put up. I’ve had enough of her accusations that undermine the very foundations of our national defense organizations.

I am angry, Mr. President, because you are playing politics with the most important issues of our time. In 2009 we are less safe than we ever have been thanks to your naive mindset. You may understand tough Chicago politics on your own turf but you don’t get the big picture.

True, those who voted for this idiotic, socialist nightmare do deserve all this crap, but I DIDN’T!!! I voted for McCain as a vote against barack (don’t ever give this poser the honor of being named after the last GREAT conservative, Barry Morris Goldwater!) Oh yeah, and I thought a WAR HERO was a way better vote than a community organizer! So, tell me why the South should suffer through 1340 more days of this unqualified cmdr-in-chief???? As in 1964, the country screwed up ROYALLY by voting for a liar-in-chief, as my state’s worst ever president LBJ (that’s right) definitely turned out to be, as this apocalyptic mistake will show by 2012! As George Will once said so brilliantly, “Barry Goldwater really won in 1964, but it took 16 years to count the votes!” I remind the rest of the country that not one true Southern state voted obama in ‘08!!! When will the rest of the country follow Our example, at least in that regard (and oh yeah, hospitality is a great thing too, among many others). And I remind those skeptics out there that 2012 has been ominously foretold since Mayan times! 20+1+2=23, 2/3=666 (Watch the History Channel a little more instead of American Idol, idiot america)!

I concur with Mr Nicholson’s assessment, this will have an even more polarizing effect on this country. I’m allready having a hard time with my kool-aid drinking neighbor and this will surely inflame him even more….My only saving grace is that he lives a mile away…. and I damm sure not going to give him my e mail address.

  4. S. Nicholson says:

Robert — what continent are you on and what is the general consensus of Obama?

We wanted change because Bush had done so much damage, but now I have to admit that McCain probably wouldn’t have made mistakes that put the security of our country in jeopardy and our soldiers at added risk. I could vote for neither McCain nor Obama because of what they would do domestically.

If leaders of foreign countries aren’t laughing at us they should be. To be open, or transparent, or democratic, or political with issues better left to our military and intelligence agencies and marked top secret is worse than stupid. To have Obama saying nothing through this debacle and Nancy Pelosi accusing the CIA of lying to Congress is a charade that needs to be conducted behind closed doors. To have the ACLU banging at the White House door is priceless.

I, for one, am embarrassed that we are even talking about torture on national TV. We are a country that can’t even come to a consensus on what torture is. Shall we put it to a vote. All for waterboarding say aye. Is that how it’s done in Iran and Russia and China? I don’t think so. No sane country would reveal their interrogation methods on national TV and then squabble about them.

I would imagine that different interrogation methods should apply in different situations, with different people with different degrees of urgency in mind. In other words I’m not sure there is any hard and fast rule that would be effective for all. And if we did agree on a hard and fast rule it certainly shouldn’t be aired for world review until we live in a perfect world where all are treated perfectly the same.

I still can’t believe the Obama team allowed this insanity to happen. It shows he is not ready to play on a world stage. I didn’t care how naive and clueless he was personally because I thought he would consult minds who knew better, people with enough sense not to make a mockery of national defense. I was wrong.

I didn’t understand that Nancy Pelosi, embittered and vengeful, would put grabbing her pound of flesh from Bush above national security. Now she’s said too much in too many ways and made herself the story.

If Obama thinks he is doing well by letting this play out on national TV he is wrong, wrong, wrong. It’s time to stop looking presidential and start acting presidential by putting a stop to this.

It’s time for the country to realize Obama is not half as gifted as you think he is. He has razzled and dazzled and scooped up all your money for programs you may not want. He is growing the government, not the economy, and before his reign is over our very lives may be in danger as he presents to the world as a confused man/boy who can’t make up his mind.

  5. Robert says:

This really surprise anyone. Even I on another continent could tell that he had no clue about what it was he was talking about. It’s great to rile and promise as he has… pity he didn’t have a plan.

    Change is great… sometimes.

Then again, it is what the average American voted for. They deserve it!
