The Liberal Lollipop Guild
Recently, I had the complete displeasure of visiting another site. You all know the site, probably. But I am not going to mention their name here as I don’t want in any way to assist people I consider vile, intellectually devoid children in adult bodies to grow their readership, even if inadvertently.
I looked around the net a little just to get some more background on the issue under my belt, and decided it was worth a quick note to all of you who follow this blog. And with that, here I am.
It is no mystery that a large number of the people who populate the voting rolls of the left have a deficiency in logic that would make Sherlock Holmes shudder. There is nothing more mind bending than watching a child try to make a point in order to “make” his point, intentionally being obtuse for the purpose of drawing the attention of the other intellectually weak sheep around him.
This is, in fact, how the left operates most of the time. They come up with cute marketable catch phrases like “pro choice” to hide the fact that one of the choices is killing a baby. “Progressive” sounds so attractive, because people want, naturally, to move forward, to have the feeling of getting things done, or to suggest to others that they possess an “open mind”, which of course one must have if one wants to be really fair and considerate in this world.
What conservatives instinctively understand is that freedom is lost without boundaries; that promoting the good in people is better for society as a whole; that sometimes we need protection from our desires, and if not, then protection from those who cannot control theirs. We see a beauty in order; and are capable of accepting that authority exists, and for good reasons, most of the time. We understand that compassion means that you help people when they need it, sometimes only when they deserve it, while at the same time understanding that helping people too much is often not truly helping them at all.
I really could go on, but I am getting off the point of he article. So let’s just leave it at, we all understand that many on the left are stuck on the left because of lack of the logic gene.
To illustrate that, I wanted to show you one example that recently occurred in a Press Briefing by Deputy Press Secretary Scott Stanzel, January 9th.
Among the other things discussed, I found one thing that caught my eye:
Q: The administration has been boasting about the success of the President’s war on terror, yet data compiled by the RAND Corporation show that the global rate of terrorism, as measured by the number of people killed per year, increased by almost fivefold during the Bush presidency. And according to the government’s own terrorism statistics, 2007 was the worst year ever, with over 22,000 people killed worldwide. Does the President consider that record a success?
MR. STANZEL: The President considers it very much a success that we have kept this nation safe since the devastating attacks of 9/11. The magnitude of the attacks on 9/11 were unprecedented, unseen, when 19 individuals armed with box cutters flew airplanes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and were fought and died in a field in Pennsylvania.
We have taken the fight to the terrorists. It has been this President’s sole mission throughout his presidency to confront those threats where they are. He has a much talked about Bush Doctrine. The President has made it very clear that if you aid, abet, house, feed, fund a terrorist, you are just as guilty as the terrorist, and that we will also confront the challenges where they emerge so we don’t have to face them here at home. And we will work to spread an ideology of hope and freedom, which will be the ultimate tool in combating terrorism around the world.
So I’ll move on. Yes, go ahead –
Q: But shouldn’t the anti-terrorism efforts reduce terrorism rather than increase it?
BAMMO!
There it is! There is what I am talking about! That amazing 3rd grade logic; the intentional misdirection of thought by a disingenuous left leaning press-turd, masquerading as a serious and well thought out question, when really it was a statement. A zing pow! A gotcha! A “look at me, all you Beavis and Butthead liberals! (taunting & singing) I just made them loooooook bad… I just made them looooook baaaaad!“
And we all know what questions like that do for many liberals. They hoop, holler, think things like “YA man! you TELL ‘em!” while in their little mind they envision high fives for all the other Lilliputian minded members of the Lollipop Guild for Mental Midgets… I mean, I really expect someday to come around a corner, see one of these people with a Dictionary in their hands, ask them “What ya doing?”, and hear them reply “Looking up dictionary…”
Anyway… I could not resist responding, and while I usually don’t like to go around pointing out “look what I’ve done!!!” and would rather be “in” here doing my “own” thing, I felt this was a good example and opportunity to show just how short on logic these kinds of asses are, either intentionally, or due to some kind of mental accuity deficiency.
(In response to the question “But shouldn’t the anti-terrorism efforts reduce terrorism rather than increase it?”)
Perhaps, if you are fighting cows without weapons, or ideological hatred fueling them.
Here’s a clue for some of you-
When you hit your enemies, they hit back. They try to hit back harder. You have to be willing to hit back even harder, and finish the fight. ONLY then, will the loser give in… buckle…
Umm… and just in case you did not study any world conflicts in your education- it often gets worse before it gets better. If they would just roll over, there would never have been a war in the first place.
You guys act as though you’ve never even SEEN a fight, studied a world war, watched Discovery Channel.
Wow. You claim that increased attacks from our enemies is proof we are failing.
Utter stupidity.
Hey- I know… let’s use your logic, ignore them, and they will stop attacking us! That’s right! They aren’t realllllllly about spreading their control over the world! THEY just want to be left alone…
Which is why they leave everyone else alone…
You guys are brilliant.
Conservatives understand these things. Conservatives understand that you just can’t walk away and expect these people to “calm down and leave us alone”. Radical, militant Islam is a fervent, fanatical empire building entity based on a form of their religion. This is a modern day Crusade. These people are not just wanting to be left alone. They want, well, what Hitler wanted.
What we face in this Country is not just a fight against radical Islam. We also face a fight against a radical element of our own society, our own populace, our own politics. And, the similarities between the two are amazing.
We conservatives understand that reasoning with radical Islam is like, well, reasoning with some on the left.

Thanks for stating what should be obvious. It would be nice if they didn’t hit back, but, well, if they didn’t, then I guess it wouldn’t be a war. It’d be us hitting them…and them hitting the floor. [I know, bad joke.]
Hehehe… nothing brings them out faster than someone pointing out errors in logic or truth…
JESUS Con, how DO you attract so many liberal pansy asses?
Honestly girls, it soooo simple.
HAMAS = TERRORISTS
WE are at WAR with TERRORISTS. (See September 11 2001) My only complaint is that we are not killing them fast enough
Abraham Lincoln said:
A friend is one who has the same enemies as you have.
In other words, we SUPPORT Israel. Questions?
The Blood Price, is not one YOU paid. It was a gift to free, right thinking people everywhere, by young men and women of character and valor, who understood the price when they took the oath.
There is a cause that is custom made for liberal sissys: http://www.peta.org/Sea_Kittens/index.asp
And now:
Shut up.
Why does questioning the success of the War on Terror automatically make you a liberal surrender monkey? Does being conservative automatically grant you magical infallibility? The last 8 years would suggest not. Mistakes have been made, and only a “sheep” would make excuses and accusations.
You are making my point sooooo well..
Going right over your head is the fact that I am calling the efforts of radical Islam a modern day Crusade- not our efforts.
In order to debate issues well, you have to accurately recognize contextual implications.
You are correct. War is over when it is over. But an increase in the opponent’s hostilities is not only not a sign of failure, it is also to be expected, by anyone with an understanding of such things.
Call me a loony leftist if you like, but either the “war” is ongoing (which may account for the increased hostilities seen in 2007) in which case it cannot be considered a success. Or, if it was a successful conflict, then we should have achieved a positive resolution with a period of reducing hostilites (which we haven’t.)
Nobody called WWII a success after D-Day (even though it ended successfully) nor is anyone right to call the Iraq War a failure yet (though it has been disaster in terms of the cost in blood, treasure and reputation, it is possible that the long term result will be positive.) You cannot declare success until the endeavor is over and done. But, then again, I suppose this isn’t the first time conservatives have made that mistake.
By all means, engage the enemy wherever he lives. But you don’t say you won a boxing match in the 2nd round with your opponent still stnading and throwing punches.
Finally comparing the current conflicts a Crusade is ignorant and ill-informed for at least several reasons. First, our goal is not to reclaim the Holy Land for Christianity. Second, the Christians lost the Crusades. Third, calling is a Holy War (which is what a Crusade means) implies we are no better than the Islamic militants declaring Jihad (the Islamic word for Holy War).
By the way, you may want to have yourself tested for said logic gene. You appear to be deficient in it yourself.
Well said..
