Conservative Blog Political Potpourri for March 12th, 2008

It just gets richer all the time…

It does not get much better than it is right now for conservatives. You are watching the unraveling of the Democrat Party. And they are unraveling around scandals of sex and Governors and lies and racism and hypocrisy, and there is not a single Republican around to blame.

You are watching them unravel on the issue of race, or even racism, and there is not one single Republican around to blame it on.

And you are seeing them use the word “disenfranchise” in their own elections in Florida and Michigan; elections damaged by their own rules; and all the while, even though they try to pin some of this on the Florida GOP, there is not one single Republican around to blame it on.

This party cannot take responsibility. And it cannot govern even itself well, let alone a whole Country. When you pull back the curtain, you get the bumbling idiot “Oz”, with nothing more than fake promises hiding behind the mighty powerful image of hope and power.

I hear Toto is a conservative…

Obama Using Not Using Race

I have made it clear here in other posts that I am increasingly finding Obama to be an opportunist who cleverly disguises himself as a “black man” because it suits him and his campaign.

The most recent uproar about Ferraro’s comments on Obama’s use of being black helps me to make my point. This country, especially Liberals, oozes with emotion when it comes to the possibility of electing a “black man” (who is half white). The left thinks with their hearts… you have to love ‘em, but that is no way to elect a powerful person into the White House.

Obama said today that if you were to find a handbook on running for President that “I don’t think the handbook would start by saying be an African American named Barack Obama…”

OK, fair enough, it would not. But it would also at some point say “play to the heart strings of your party if you are a liberal/Democrat. Being the “first” of anything, like a woman, black, hispanic, or dog, will help you immensely with this kind of emotional crowd eager to prove they are “progressive”.”

And, I have to reiterate again and again, you, Barack, are touting being an “African American”, and you are not wholly that. You are a mulatto. You are an American. You are not white, nor black, if in fact you wish to claim ONE and not the other for political advantage.

And Barack seems to be losing his high ground position by stooping to argue such points. Regarding Ferraro’s comments about his race helping him loft his candidacy, Obama said Ferraro was being a “slice and dice” politician, and that she was “dividing the party”.

The only thing being sliced and diced and divided is your race, first term Senator Obama. And you seem to be very willing to discard the “white” part of the recipe that makes you you.

And one can only determine you are doing that selectively, to suit your needs. Playing the race card so subtly that most of us are not detecting it…

Until now…

Obama’s Pastor Rants

While Obama’s church and pastor, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. have been brought up before, I think it is important to point out that the most recent comments and campaigning from the pulpit are drawing scrutiny from the IRS, and others.

Pay attention now, though… The most common response to any question about Barack and his Church and Pastor of TWENTY YEARS is “you know Senator Obama has denounced Farrakhan’s anti-semitic viewpoints”.

What you are NOT hearing there is: “Senator Obama denounces his pastors racist comments”.

More surely will come of this, if Obama wins the Democrat nomination. Until then, just mull that over, that this man has been a member of this Church for TWENTY YEARS.

The Democratic RACISM has just begun to be exposed.

Spitting out Spitzer

For two days you have heard apologies, confessions, accusations, and charges. Straight to the point, what you did not hear was a Democrat Party, either on the State or Federal level, demanding that Spitzer leave office.

You see, when the more recent Republican Party gets wind of a Larry Craig like scandal that crosses moral lines, we run them out, or condemn them publicly immediately, or ask them to resign. Often, they do it on their own.

Spitzer had the threat of a GOP impeachment. I don’t know, nor does anyone I know, whether or not Spitzer was “pressured” out.

BUT, what you did NOT hear was a chorus of Democrat politicians demanding he leave.

That is a difference in the GOP and liberal Democrat party. The Dems will wait and see, test the waters, and even perhaps try to rally.

As an example, former White House Spokesperson and Clinton apologist Dee Dee Myers stated that one of the reasons Spitzer stepped down was that he did not have “political support”.

You have to be kidding me… was she inferring he could or should expect some?

Yes, yes, I think she was saying out loud that the reason for the delay of his resignation was because they Dems wanted to decide, quietly behind doors, whether or not to fight, or step down…

Amazing…
