Black Man Wins in Mississpippi

Wow… that is all I can say. I challenge Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to make the case that this Country is full of racist bastards. 50 or more years ago if a black man had run for President in a Mississippi primary one might have expected a concurrent increase in the sale of rope and gasoline.

I am amazed and proud that my Country has come so far, so fast. And no, unlike Michelle Obama, this is not the first time in my adult life I have been proud of my Country.

But is Barack really Black? See the articleIs Obama’s Glass Half Full, or Empty?” later today…

Eliot Spitzer, Day 2

How you can drag your wife out to stand by you after it has been made public that you have been whore shopping is beyond me. She is an amazing woman to do so. And she is a very nice looking lady as well- reminds me of a more tired version of Jennifer Aniston, but I can understand why she looked tired.

I would look for a divorce in the coming weeks or months. It would be hard enough for a woman to go through this in the “normal” sector of life, but in the public sector, this will bear heavy. Plus, she can get a ton of his cash to boot. And there is plenty of that.

The State GOP is threatening impeachment in 48 hours if he does not resign. I think he will.

Additional details keep coming out about some of his trysts. Apparently he had made requests for “unsafe sex” and other odd requests… Do they mean “unprotected” sex, or do they mean “unsafe” sex? What, like sex on a tightrope or balancing above a vat of acid like Batman?

As for the odd requests, I have heard rumors that Eliot might be changing his last name from Spitzer to “Spankzer”.

More to come… probably… but I we may tire of this rapidly.

Bad News of the Que

I heard a reporter today state that Clinton’s rally’s in Pennsylvania were creating “Obama-sized lines”. Ouch. It is never a good sign in politics that people refer to your successes with your opponents name attached in a descriptive manner.

Tit for tat tactics

While I do hope she hangs in close as long as possible, this battle is as much as over. Taking it further is going to do nothing positive for the Dems… and if this makes it to convention and Super Delegates, this will be ugly.

Clinton’s new strategy of attacking Obama on specifics is working, I think, but I fear it is too late. Her more direct hard hitting approach would normally force Barack to engage, but since he knows he has this most likely wrapped up, Obama has gone silent and is no longer responding to Clinton.

And why should he? Responding would force him to stake out positions, and make him more vulnerable to scrutiny. We all know Obama is not all that excited to speak in specific terms, and would prefer to ramble in relatively meaningless ambiuous platitudes.

Obama’s silence in response to Clinton says it all:

“This is over.”

Surf is Still Up!

Bush’s Veto stands… the Dems could NOT overturn Bush’s veto of their bill that made waterboarding illegal…

Sounds to me like the decision is now final…

Right Analogy, Wrong Dog

Mitt Romney stated today in an interview with Sean Hannity that McCain is the “big dog” when it comes to foreign policy, and Clinton and Obama are “Chihuahua’s”.

Now, while I love the smack down, I have to caution anyone using the name of anything Mexican around McCain, lest he try to grant it amnesty.

A more appropriate choice of dog for Clinton and Obama might have been “Weiner Dog” or “Shitsu”.

Try harder next time, Vice President Romney.

Sniff that for a while…
