Obama’s Policies Create Fourth Branch of Government
“What’s that?” you ask? “I thought we only had three branches of Government…”
Well, I would suggest that we have a new branch to add to those three: Executive, Legislative, Judiciary, and… Fiduciary.
Obama’s tendency to race ahead with the Democratic Party attitude of “We won” is catching up with him. It’s one thing to inspire zombie masses on the campaign trail; quite another to inspire people who are looking to create jobs and wealth. Interestingly, these people are a stark contrast to those who are looking for a handout like baby birds in a nest competing shrilly over the next worm. Those worm hunters have already voted; those on Wall and Broad are still voting.
Obama has incensed and rattled those who populate Wall Street with so much uncertainty, fear of over taxation, over-regulation, and his show of disdain for the capitalist system that made this country successful that those folks with the green in their jeans are now holding back and counting their beans. Those on Wall Street are generally saying “too much of the wrong stuff” and are now showing Obama that they are in fact quite influential. Pushed far enough, they will trump him- pun intended.
This exercising of power by Wall Street, which really is more of a consequence than it is a “vote”, is imposing upon Obama a constrictive, prohibitive force that most of the time is a latent, almost passive secondary voice regarding policy. The current situation is more of a slap in the face, and Obama is going to have to pay some attention- serious attention- soon. After all, what President can accomplish anything with a stumbling, faltering economy, let alone programs that consume hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars like universal health care? All of his precious programs and handouts will have little chance passing in a poor country.
Alas, the left needs the country to prosper in order to become the panacea of socialism they so long for. Ironic, isn’t it, that the key to success of any plan to transform this country into something more akin to Europe rests on the shoulders of capitalist giants of business and industry?
Under the current political mix, one of the BEST things that may happen to this country is to see a struggling economy for the next two or more years, thus effectively tying Obama’s hands and preventing more broad, sweeping socialistic policies from spreading like cancer.
Am I hoping Obama fails? No. I hope he can be controlled. And with this congress, full of and controlled by rabid lefties, the only “check and balance” left just might be on Wall and Broad- the fourth branch of our government.

Stay tuned on this one. With Citigroup expecting to post a Q1 profit, Obama’s crisis may be ending a bit too soon.
Interesting to note that no sooner did Citigroup give a glimmer of hope than Pelosi and other libs rolled out the possibility of yet another Stimulus package. Adding more debt to the situation is only going to add inflationary misery to what we will begin to see in 2010. Hopefully 2010 will also bring about the last days of Pelosi with the gavel in her hand and return her to being just a congressperson elected by lunatic SF voters.
Invite you to check the links on my blog http://steveladley.blogspot.com. I’m afraid it’s much more endemic than anyone realizes. This whole Obie phenomenon has been planned, financed and orchestrated for a long time. All these outrageous proposals are designed to get opposition splintered and focused on whatever pisses them off the most. Unless we have massive opposition and a nearly complete restruction of our federal government in the next 2 years, we are too far down the toilet to climb back out.
He is in so far over his head: Rome is burning and he is talking about socialized health care. He is getting bad advice from bad people.
Yes, Rome is burning but that’s a great time to take advantage of the chaos. I’ve come to think Obama is not just a good orator but a master of slight of hand and all the attributes of a great magician. What politician wouldn’t like the skill of misdirection?
I’m so glad I caught the end of Obama’s Healthcare Forum on TV. Now I know that God is black, his name is Barack Obama, and he has healthcare for everyone, even illegal aliens. A “compassionate god would do that, you know.
Janet Murguia of NCLA (National Council of La Raza) was there, sitting in the back row, making sure all brown people got their share of the American Dream in the form of healthcare. That damn “American Dream” reference, now adopted as buzz words by all pro-amnesty groups,is really making me angry.
Doctors and nurses popped up to get their two cents in, almost wetting their pants in anticipation of their new roles as “missionaries” for healthcare.
One woman, who spoke on the disparities of race and ethnicity in healthcare, even asked for marching orders. She was ready to join a working group that instant.
Obama mentioned the words “illegal immigration” only once as he referred to the people “we were already paying for” and how much it cost us. The foregone conclusuion seemed to be we were already paying for them so we might as well include them in healthcare reform.
If this goes through we are already a North American Union, joined to Mexico at the hip, but we haven’t been officially told yet. How do you ask Americans to pay for the healthcare of people from the country next door unless you intend to make them American citizens?
Obama said everyone was looking for solutions and I have a few he and Janet Murguia probably wouldn’t want to hear. Obama said he didn’t want to kick old people off of medicare. How kind of him since old people were the ones who contributed taxes to this country all their lives and are the ones most deserving of American healthcare, not young Mexicans seeking to drop their babies in this country so their anchor babies can start receiving welfare perks and the parents can get subsidized housing.
Now my question about illegal aliens “officially” receiving healthcare benefits from my purse has been answered. All of Mexico is smiling while they bring in drugs, people and crime.
If Americans stay quiet on this issue then America, as we know it, is lost. My disgust runneth over.
Obama has neither my confidence nor my trust (fiduciary) and he has both hands in my pockets today with his Universal Healthcare which I see as a ploy to reduce the wages of “working units” and relieve big business of the obligation, thus bringing us closer to cheap, worldwide labor. If government pays we pay for everyone.
My first question would be: How many illegal aliens will I and my government be paying for?
When Hillary first put the question out about healthcare in her emails, when she was running for president, it was worded in a way that skewed the poll. For instance, you were given a choice of “what is your main concern” (or something similar)and my main concern happened to be “illegal immigration” at the time but illegal immigration was not one of my choices in her poll.
Yet, to finish the poll you had to pick something listed from 1 to 4 or “a” to “b” and healthcare was often the only one that made sense. Thus Hillary distorted facts and slanted truth in true crooked political style.
I’m STILL flabbergasted that a man wants to change the system that got him to where he is today. I hope that 4th Branch is successful at keeping him in line and out of my pockets.
Fantastic read. Gives me hope…
Great post… the 4th branch is the Fiduciary. I LOVE it.
