Obama’s Knee Pad Foreign Policy

Obama’s Approach to Foreign Policy? “What shall I kiss?”

Letter’s from Ahmadinejad, then Addressing Ahmadinejad in a speech. Overtures towards Cuba, and Castro, promising a “new beginning”. Bowing to a King of Saudi Arabia. A jovial “what UP, BRO!” handshake with Hugo Chavez.

Debasing America, and focusing on the mistakes of America, rather than focusing on the good that America does, and has done, in speeches abroad in Europe.

Obama seems to go out of his way to beg the pardon of the world, or genuflect at the ego’s of the tyrannical. Does this show that he has an agenda of kiss and make up, to the extent that he has no cajones whatsoever? Has America lost its way when it comes to being the leader of the free world? Does international leadership really amount to nothing more than the watered down tactics of an inexperienced ass kissing typical Washington “promise everything” politician? Do the same smiles and bullshit sell in the halls of foreign powers the same way they sell in the idiotic, uninformed, emotionally driven American voting public?

What happened to “Trust but verify”? “Speak softly and carry a big stick”? I guess when you have no ideas, and no experience, the best approach is “change everything”. The Unites States is, at its best, a leader in the world- one which encompasses social and economic norms; the forging of the institution of freedom and equality; a manufacturer of hope and fairness; a beacon of entrepreneurial motivation which encourages people to rise up with ideas and principles which elevate the “norms” of an otherwise apathetic public.

So what is my problem with Obama’s approach to foreign policy thus far?

Is it that he offers an opening to such fellows, in an effort to renew relationships that he perceives as being strained?  No- my problem is this… He does so on bended knee, to people who are tyrannically and diametrically opposite of the principles that America stands for.

Chavez? Ahmadinejad? Castro? Our new “buddies”?

John F. Kennedy said, “The purpose of foreign policy is not to provide an outlet for our own sentiments of hope or indignation; it is to shape real events in a real world.” Obama appears to rather agree with Ramsey Clark, who said, “The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy.”

America does not lead on bended knee. You do not perpetuate the principles of this great country by bowing to those who otherwise shrug off such principles as being unimportant. You do not devalue the economic and military prowess of your position by selling unreasonable people your soul. And the reason why is? Well, honestly, the reasons why are myriad.

  1. You are not going to sway the oppressed under these people to take great strides to undermine the oppression they are experiencing.
  2. You are not going to sway the mind of the leader, as you have just given them more capital to use against their people.
  3. Once you legitimize people like Chavez or Castro, you have taken a step backwards with all three important groups of people- Your people, THEIR people, and the leader themself.

Working towards a new beginning with foreign powers is not something I would discount offhand. After all, with every new leader, there is a chance that things may change for the better. I would just prefer that we use a more firm approach based on the justifications of this country being great, and recognizing that our power (military and economic) is in fact on the table as a leveraging factor, if need be. Instead, Obama seems to be apologetic, and conciliatory to a degree which only emboldens the tyrants; weakens the hope and will of the oppressed; and confuses and disappoints the free around the world witnessing the acquiescent tone.

Don’t think that people like Chavez use PR like the handshake with Obama to prop himself up? The photo immediately made it to Chavez’s government website.

I believe this shows a weakness of Obama. He has constantly apologized for those that came before him, in an attempt to gain favor of those who he feels have been “wronged”. In my opinion, this reveals a weak, ignoble form of leadership which relies on ass kissing looks backwards, complete with finger-pointing and unnecessary admissions which build nothing for the future. These weaknesses offer an opening for immediate expectation of concession. This is not leadership…

I wonder if in the future, should Obama wind up dealing with Kim Jong Il or the like, that he will stop bending over facing them like he did King Adullah, but rather start bending over facing away, on his knees, dropping his drawers. It seems to be the direction we are headed.

THE NEXT TIME THE HORSE LEAVES THE BARN IN MEXICO

After this flu scare where Obama told us it was unnecessary to secure the border because, “the horse had already left the barn, I want to know what happens next?

Here’s what experts in Canada say:

    The Canadian Press

OTTAWA — Toronto doctors red-flagged Mexico City as a potential incubator of global disease as they put the finishing touches on a report last month that has not yet been released.

The research team led by Dr. Kamran Khan of St. Michael’s Hospital cites the teeming metropolis as a biological triple threat: more than 22 million people packed into tight urban areas, lax sanitation, and health gaps that delay disease detection.

This flu scare shows us that Mexico cannot detect disease soon enough to keep it in Mexico and our government shows us we will do next to nothing to keep disease-riden travelers out of the U.S.

What happens to U.S. citizens when the next epidemic in Mexico is a deadly dengue fever or worse? Do we just accept that being a trading partner with Mexico makes trading disease just as ordinary and acceptable?

Are we so closely tied to Mexico and their lax sanitation standards and gaps in their ability to detect disease that we can fully expect to contract any epidemic they come down with?

America can continue to use the latest technology in the health field and continue to practice stringent sanitation standards BUT THE ONE THING WE CANNOT DO IS PROTECT OURSELVES FROM THE COUNTRY NEXT DOOR.

And Obama is at it again. Is he running for a world-wide popularity contest or is be trying to run this government?

This time Obama is considering a 12-year old treaty to give foreign countries access to the U.S. gun registry. It looks like he’s intent on taking away our 2nd amendment gun rights.

I’m a single woman who lives alone and sleeps with her .38 on her pillow. I have a right to protect my home and myself. Obama — get out of my 2nd Amendment rights! You’ve got a war raging on my border over drugs and I live in Arizona. My border isn’t safe. Who knows who — and I mean possible terrorists — might step across that border. How dare you, you idiot. You make me feel like everyone in the world gets your support but me.

And while I’m at it, let’s talk about Mexico. We’ve seen with this flu scare that my safety runs a poor second to keeping that border open for Mexico, commerce, and more and more illegal aliens.

If I complain I’m a racist or a redneck. Everyone gets to speak but the citizen who’s lived here, paid her taxes, never taken a dime from the government, never committed a crime and tried to be a good citizen. In Obama’s new America of hope and change I don’t have a voice. I have to sit here and watch government grow so it can take care of everyone, especially illegal aliens, from “cradle to grave.”

First they said “we take jobs Americans don’t want,” but that was debunked as we saw illegals arrested and Americans rush in to take the jobs they left.

Then the buzz words became “compassion.” “What’s wrong with you? Don’t you have any compassion?” they asked.

Well, Mr. Obama, let me tell you about compasssion. It’s a noun that means sympathy, sorrow, to suffer with another and I’ve done plenty of suffering since you and Clinton and Bush decided you would flood this country with cheap labor for international business and make the dumb citizens pay. You’ve bankrupted our hospitals, overwhelmed our welfare services, brought in drugs and violent gangs and on and on and I’m so angry with you governmental toads-big business slavers that I can’t stand it.

Don’t ever say “compassion” to me again because all it means is more of my dollars. Compassion equals dollars, get it? Business wants the labor but they don’t want to pay decent wages, healthcare, benefits of any kind. “Let the stupid American citizens pay,” they say. And guess what? We pay at the city, state and county levels but even that won’t be necessary after Obama gives all we “working units” health care and educations and welfare up the nose. My, how happy everyone will be then.

And finally the latest buzz words, “it’s for the children.” The Dream Act, healthcare, educations — all for the children. Well, Mr. Obama, what children are you talking about? Are you talking about the children of the 20-30 million illegal aliens (and their big families)you want to give amnesty to? Why don’t you be transparent, you Presidential fork-tongued community organizer, and just give us the straight truth?

CNN got busy and started showing us “poor, cute little Latina stories.” All this poor little Latina wanted was to go to Harvard and she didn’t make it. Poor little thing. Anderson Cooper and Rick Sanchez couldn’t spit these stories out fast enough because it was all about “the children,” don’t you know? How dare we deny any child? It must be because they’re brown and we’re racist. That’s the only conclusion. Shame on America. Shame on citizens. Shame on this horrible, unfair country. Shame, shame, shame. Where’s your compassion (your dollars)?

And then, to top it off, Dr. Sanjay Gupta of CNN (the I love Obama and illegal alien channel) hot-footed it down to Mexico to find patient zero, the first confirmed case of the Mexican Swine Flu, and it just happened to be this little Mexican cutie named Edgar Hernandez. Now how lucky was that?

In one fell swoop of PR work Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the medical corresponent for CNN, was able to put a happy face on the swine flu. Gupta is affable and smart and a great spin-master. He has a happy face of his own and he certainly did a favor for Mexico and Obama. It’s all about the children now — remember?

Well Mr. President — I want to know where my rights to defend myself from intruders went. I want to know why these people are marching in my streets backed by every open-borders agency and group known to man. I want to know why they have more rights than I do. I want to know why I am forced to pay for them.

I want to know how and when my country got derailed and connected to Canada and Mexico without my knowledge or my vote or any vote I know of except the North American Union which you have not explained to us. I want to know why you have chained us so closely to Mexico and made the relationship so interdependent.

Now — right now, I hear Roland Martin of CNN speaking to a Hispanic woman on TV and she is upset because the flu scare might create “hate crimes” against brown people.

Well, the poor little dear. I guess I should run over to that television station and assure her I don’t hate her but I do hate that millions of her people are here illegally. I do hate that my government condones it. I do hate that another amnesty bill is going to be thrown at me because they have the big bucks of big business.

Poor little Hispanic, Latina, brown person. I must apologize for being white, for the fact that illegals are living off years of my hard labor and because I just don’t lie down and shut up. Susan Roesgen of CNN set the example, “Just shut up and take the money Obama is handing out.” This woman just couldn’t understand what the Tea Party was all about.

And let’s be very clear here. This is not about race, any race. This is about the fact that my government has put me in the position of having to defend myself against you and what you want and what millions of illegals want because you are here and you are brown, a color you wear like a suit of armor and hide in so you can call me racist.

Illegals aliens, mostly brown, are helping unseen political forces turn this country into a North American Union joined to Canada and Mexico where we will lose our sovereignty (the ability to decide what’s best for America) and many progressive liberals don’t seem to see it or even care.

Now I can hear Joy Behar’s voice drift down the stairs. It’s akin to fingernails scraping on a blackboard.

Mr. President — UNCHAIN ME FROM MEXICO!

  3. S. Nicholson says:

And my insanely divisive and partisan government plods toward self-annihilation to serve our politicains …

What in the hell is happening here? We’re talking about national security in a time of war. Why are we airing our dirty laundry in public and giving those who hate us one of the most valuable tools we have: the ability to know what they will be subjected to when captured?

We are not “flower children” anymmore and we know love can’t solve everything. According to Obama we’re not even a Christian nation anymore — despite the fact my dollar bill says, “In God We Trust.”

When did government become our worst enemy to serve the blood lust of Democrats who still want a piece of Bush? Americans should rise up and tell their government, Democrats and Republicans alike, to shut up on this very private, once top-secret issue.

I can solve everything. From now on enemy combatants should have a choice when it comes to “harsh” interrogation methods. They can choose methods from the How-To book found in an Iraq safe house or they can have waterboarding. It’s just that simple.

Iraqui methods are as follows: Suspension from the ceiling with electrocution, hot irons, drilling of the hand, severing limbs, a blowtorch to the skin, eye removal, the application of meat cleavers, whips, wire cutters, placing a head in a vice or daily beatings. Of course decapitation still remains the harshest of the harsh and much favored.

There it is. Now end this fiasco and stop embarrassing me and this country. You are making us look weak, stupid, divisive, unsure and finally like pansies pretending to be men.

  4. S. Nicholson says:

I find myself embarassed, as an American, by Obama’s latest decision to leave the matter of the CIA memos open to prosecution. Some of the comments that have arisen are:

    1) We look like a banana republic.
    2) Its had a chilling effect on our intelligence agencies.
    3) Who, in the future, would want to give advice when they know they might be prosecuted by their own government?
    4) We must get to the truth.
    5) People should be held accountable.

I go with the banana republic comment and I’m sure all of Central America, South America and Iran and Iraq and Pakistan are laughing at us. Those who aren’t laughing are crying or sitting in some stupefied state.

UberDems are celebrating, unwitting victims of the danger they have put all of us in but at the same time uncaring because their only reason for living is revenge against Bush for real or imagined crimes, crimes they should have dealt with while the man was in office but they were too cowardly to stand up and give it a go.

I, as a citizen, have a word to say to these quarreling factions, especially the UberDems who are like a mangy dog with a bone: Your childishness is making all of us look bad and putting us in danger.

And finally something to say to Mr. Obama: Grow up and get a clue!

  5. S. Nicholson says:

Speaking in terms of what is “dangerous,” I think Obama’s decisions on the CIA memos makes his cavortings with Chavez look like small potatoes. Should anyone in our government ever be open to prosecution on this issue? No.

Should Obama have preserved the “details” of interrogation methods as priviledged and secret? Yes.

Obama has crossed the line into a netherworld of politics vs. national security and he allowed politics to win. I’m afraid politics will always win with this president and put American citizens at risk.

Obama’s decision reminds me of the story of a young child being held at a remote location by a murderer/rapist. The child will die soon while the murderer/rapist sits in police custody gloating and baiting the police who, under law, can’t touch him.

Only brute force might make the murderer/rapist reveal the child’s whereabouts. Is this a legal issue, a moral issue or both? What would you do if you were the police and had this scum sitting there laughing at you?

  6. S. Nicholson says:

I tend to agree but say whoa — give the guy a chance. Obama’s way is new to us — perhaps dangerous but perhaps not. Let’s not jump all over him until we see some results. If the results are bad Obama can change his stance.

Ahmadinejad just made a fool of himself at the U.N. Conference on Racism and some walked out. Chavez makes a fool of himself almost every time he opens his mouth. Maybe all Obama has to do is sit back and let these “over the top” leaders seal their own fates on the world stage.

A handshake and a book do not a love affair make.

  7. jim says:

Kudos….Comrade and chief has relocated us to “back of the bus” On the world stage, Me thinks he was elected by white guilt….

  8. Naomi Fox says:

Very well said. We’ve all heard of “positioning”: you compare yourself or company to another that’s successful. Well instead of positioning us as a major power—one worthy of respect, admiration and imitation—Obama is positioning us as some form of low life that has to apolgize for existing. That’s betraying the people he represents. It’s insulting and, for a president, dangerous.
