“RACIST” Labels Depend on What Party You Belong To

Yet another unbelievable level of double standard BS is taking place before our eyes.

It is being reported that during the Obama campaign Harry Reid called then candidate Obama a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.’ ”

Interesting. What my ears hear when I read that is “He’s got a real shot, because he’s white enough to not cause himself image problems.” Or “Were he more black, or talked like a “real” negro, he would have diminished chances.”

Now, the truth is, both of those comments, as seen through my filter, are probably accurate. However, the real problem here is not the comments, but the double standard with which the Democrats respond to comments or incidents such as these, and others where indiscretions occur.

Take for example Trent Lott. Senator Lott stated at a birthday party for Strom Thurmond that America would have had less problems if Thurmond had won his bid for President in 1948. Lott said nothing about what kind of problems, yet those on the left knee jerked and associated the comments to meaning that Thurmond, a segregationist, would have made the country’s problems go away with racist policies. What a stretch. But, it stuck, and the Dems came after Lott with a rabid vigor. Lott repeatedly apologized profusely and gave many explanations as to what he did and did not mean- to no avail. The left wanted his head. But the reeeeal difference was the fact that the right asked him to go too.

When some of our GOP governors cheat on their wives, or break the law, the GOP pretty much runs ‘em over, putting great pressure on them to step down, relinquish chairs of committees, etc… Why? Well, the only real argument I can make for that is the GOP has higher standards and expects more of its people- as well as possessing the kind of logic that prevents duplicitous forms of thought- like those that permeate the brains of the left- to command actions, or worse, inaction.

The left knows what is right and wrong- they just don’t care. They care about winning. Period. Any cost.

Had a Republican President done what Bill Clinton did (lie under oath in a material manner regarding a civil case) he would have been run out of town BY republicans. Had Rush Limbaugh or Hannity said EXACTLY what Reid said, they would have people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton so far up their asses there wouldn’t be room for another story for weeks. And EVERY person in this country KNOWS it. But the left just shrugs and turns its collective head. And those that VOTE for the left just simply don’t care.

Where are Jackson and Sharpton? Whe ARE they on this issue? Well, they are cowering in the corner, because to stand up against this comment by Reid puts their party in jeopardy. And of course, they are darker skinned, and talk with a more of a “negro dialect”, so according to Reid, they just might be marginalized in the eyes of Americans.
