In the Weeds, There Be Snakes
Remember when Pelosi said a few days ago something akin to “we need to pass the bill to see what is in it”?
Now we know why she said that. She meant it. She had her plan already. NOT an up or down vote in the House, but rather, an end around vote which then allows the bill to be “remade”. But, will the bill truly ever be remade??? And can the GOP prevent it FROM being remade?
Well, yes they can. They can prevent the Senate from EVER amending their bill. How? By offering an endless number of amendment proposals. Is that likely to happen to the extent they will stop the bill. Maybe, but I would not hold my breath. But this would mean that house democrats cannot depend on the Senate to fix the things that the Senate nods and winks about right now that they will fix.
See the problem? Even if the Dems WANT to fix what they want to fix, the GOP can prevent them from guaranteeing that fix. Tit for tat slick bullshit politics. I love it. Well, not really, but this bill must be stopped at all costs.
Is this how congress is supposed to EVER handle such a MASSIVE bill?
They are voting on a bill which they admit they don’t even KNOW what the end result will be. Oh- MY- GOD!!!! They are waiting on CBO costing, which is actually meaningless, because they are meaning for the bill to be changed again to help placate the House Dems (which, again, may never happen)
Even worse- they are talking about now not taking OUT sweetheart deals, but making it so that some sweetheart deal will apply to ALL states. Do you understand this? They are trying to not remove what Americans were offended by, but instead, allow it to apply to ALL states. Amazing. This means that as they even try to pass this in the house, without a CBO report, that they are trying to pass a bill that ADMITTEDLY will cost MORE if in fact they can get the Senate to allow ALLLLL states to have the same priveledged kickbacks as one or two states. How does the CBO score a bill where promises about money are still being made in the house and senate?
Seriously, can you believe this? Rational adults are trying to PASS a bill where they are not recognizing that sweetheart state specific deals are what piss people OFF about congress, but rather are trying to FIX it by offering it to ALL states, without any kind of qualification or justification or analysis- and spending even MORE money. Yes, let’s just stupidly buy more votes so we can get our Holy Grail passed through.
Do you see how far the liberals are willing to stretch and BREAK the rules to get their golden chalice, which buys them voters in the future at the taxpayers expense?
I have never seen anything like this. Were some crazies to be brought to criminal action to take some of these people down, I would NOT be surprised. Let me put that another way, at the risk of the secret service or others showing interest in my life suddenly… If someone out there, or a group of someone’s, either AS a group or individually, suddenly came out of the woodwork to exact what would be criminal forms of violent or other form or retribution against these people, I would be completely unsurprised.
Slaughter solution- how appropriate a name. How appropriate that the woman suggesting the Dems use this tactic is named slaughter.

Enacting a senate bill without debate for a “rule” to be considered, which would allow them to be able to basically “vote” without actually “voting”- that it what they are suggesting. This would circumvent an up or down vote in the house on the initial bill submitted from the Senate. This allows these asses to just not be accountable, for the time being, of their vote on such an incredibly important vote.
But why should you be surprised? You have been lied to since the day this bastard got into office. In fact, since before he got into office. Remember the C-SPAN debates on health care? Yeah… thanks Barry for being a man of meritorious integrity.
Let me just tell you why this bill is being forced down your throat.
They simply know that undoing it will be harder than passing it, and it creates a whole entire class of people who will vote Democrat to save the government tit that they (democrats) create with this bill. In other words, once you are on this tit, they OWN your vote.
Period.

And now the CBO apparently has a “score” that the Dems love. Of course they love it. They provided the input to it. The CBO scores ONLY what it is given to score. It is like a computer- garbage in, garbage out. In other words, the CBO does NOT judge whether or not a particular set of legislation will actually work- it assumes things based on what it is fed. “If this happens, and we do this, and this happens and that happens, how much will this cost?” Considering that ONLY THE DEMS are controlling what is being fed to the CBO (remember, this is NOT being scored from a bi-partisan COMMITTEE FED PROCESS like it NORMALLY would be), you have to understand that they (Dems) will likely get the numbers they wish to have out of this.
That, and consider the fact that much of what is being done is double counting of Medicare numbers and other fuzzy math, as well as other incredibly complicated processes that take a ton of time to explain why they won’t work… well, let’s just say that in this case, the CBO is nothing more than a tool for the Dems. It is being manipulated.
Second that with the fact that ANY CBO costing evaluation at this time CANNOT take into account ANY changes that may likely come from the senate… and you have a false number created by false input due to a one sided set of data being input, followed up by changes which cannot be predicted at this point, nor costed out. Real nice way to run the passing of the biggest debt creating bill of our lifetimes, no?
And couple that with the fact that Barry and his minions do NOT want us focusing on process but instead want us to focus on the end result. In other words, who cares how we got there, let’s just try to look at the ends… the ends justify the means.
This is a con – and the biggest enemy to this con is the rapidity of information sharing due to talk radio, the internet and blogs, and other mediums. THIS is exactly why the Dems have tried to rush EVERY major bill they have proposed since they took office. Their modus operandi is run it fast and furious before the swell of information which is likely to undermine their efforts grows to the point that they can no longer defend it, or that in having to try to defend it, they lose ground on the sentiment surrounding their efforts.
Another reason for the increased effort, and seeming reckless abandon that they are portraying at this point is this- they KNOW they will no longer have the power to do this in November of this year. Come November, the Dems are done with their “ram it through” power. In fact, the only reason we are here right now is because they WERE able to ram it through the Senate, with the seating of that ass Al Franken.
This is a very amazing time in our political history. The last 10 years has been amazing, with many precedents.
Sounds exciting. But if in fact this health care bill passes in any of its current forms, it will mean the slow beginning of the end of the country we know and love.
Keep working, calling, writing… unless you’re one of the crazies who like the “shooting” aspect of “governmental influence”, in which case, I have no advice for you, excepting make sure your sights are set on the right goals.
