Facts About Healthcare Reform
We need to boil some meat to get to the bone…
Fact: This bill would not even be being considered were it not for Al Franken. How appropriate that a complete ass be a component of this kind of bill which may damage our country irreparably.
Fact: If this passes today, as I fear it will, it is definitely not over, nor is a permanent legislative outcome guaranteed.
Fact: Unprecedented actions are being taken, or being threatened to be taken, by numerous States across the nation, against this health care bill. Idaho and Virginia of note have taken action already. Between 34-37 States in total are planning such actions, because in fact this bill over-reaches and will be in conflict with States rights and the commerce clause (14th amendment).
Fact: Republicans are not the party of “no”. They can’t be. How can it matter if you are saying “no” if in fact your true ability to say “no” (voting against something in congress) cannot prevent the outcome?
Fact: There is a very good possibility that this entire process will become moot, if the Supreme Court takes the case when it is brought, and they strike down the law because it is unconstitutional for the government to require anyone to purchase something such as personal health care insurance.
Fact: The true party of “NO” is the Democratic party. Why? Because even in the face of huge opposition to this bill as evidenced by poll after poll after poll, and elections which have proven to be swung immensely by perceptions that they should be prevented from being capable of making the current form of reform into law, they still continue to say “no” to starting over, to including republican ideas EVEN THOUGH those ideas would actually improve their ability to pass the bill…
Fact: The ONLY thing bipartisan in this bill is the OPPOSITION.
Fact: Bart Stupak just sold his soul and principles for a wink and a nod from a Chicago politician. Brilliant. I can’t even begin to completely express the stupidity and naivete of this move. My God. And I thought the man had a brain, heart, and principles.
Fact: The leaders of Congress are acting on the basis of pursuing and furthering a very partisan, ideologically driven left wing liberal goal, and it being within their grasp has provided them with the rabid fervor that allows for the complete dispelling of any reverence for the importance of their office, being “representatives” of the American people.
Fact: The Dems are using as an argument that you cannot believe the polls, because the publicity against the bill has been so strong and heavily funded that – well, you stupid asses are just being misled. When confronted with the fact that people against the bill in ever widening, large margins, the dimwitted audacious arrogant asses simply say that “when you ask people if they are for individual elements of the bill, they say YES…” The Dems present this as evidence that you all reeeallllllly want the bill of goods they are selling, you just don’t understand it. That is like saying, “those of you that say you don’t want salad are simply misguided, because you admit you like lettuce, carrots, celery, ham, cucumber, hard-boiled eggs, crutons, peppers…”
What these arrogant asses are missing is, people can LIKE all of those things individually, but be crying out that yes, we want salad, but NOT CEASAR salad. Or maybe not COBB salad. Or CHEF’S salad. Yes, you can like ingredients separately, but still NOT like them together. This is simply intentionally clever ignorance masking arrogance and gred for power.
Fact: NO democrats are “safe” with their “over 216″ cushion making it possible for some of them, who will be in intense fights in republican leaning districts, to vote “no” as a matter or prudence. NO voter is so stupid as to think that ANY Democrat, excepting those who publicly announced firm “no” votes prior to the day of the vote, was anything BUT a likely “yes” vote. Nice try, but childishly stupid and naive.
Fact: You do not have to give special deals to pass a bill that is actually GOOD.
Fact: This will be the first and only America-wide life changing policy forming bill in our history that does not have a SINGLE vote from the opposing side.
Fact: This is an intrusion into your life as an American, your privacy AND right to choose as you see fit. It will force you to either insure yourself and family members or pay a penalty.
Fact: Fuzzy math and intentionally deceiving presumptions were fed to the CBO in order to “sway the numbers” to the extent that it would allow for support from fiscally conservative democrats who were/are on the fence. This set of data was cynically provided offering a series of “if’s” which will actually never happen, as they are in fact politically painful or impossible.
Fact: Regardless of what is and is not in this bill, it is the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent, and the democrats know it. This is a power grab; a vote generating support driving government tit that they will addict millions of Americans to in short order. The bill will likely just be a seed that allows for further leveraging of expansion of the general premise of government run healthcare, essentially a form of socialistic redistribution of wealth and controlling the masses.
Fact: If you pass a bill without one vote from the opposition, and say things like it is “regrettable” that they are so pigheaded and partisan, what you are really saying is “we don’t really care that these people here fighting with us are representatives of approximately half of the nation… and we will blame them (politicians) for that lack of partisanship instead of recognizing that in fact they are reflecting the overwhelming plurality (and sometimes majority) that opposes this bill.”

Seriously- if you are passing a bill so narrowly, with bi-partisan opposition, endless arm twisting and special deals… considering bending rules the whole way, and then the States start amassing against you on the issue -including many many States with Democratically held Governorships and State Houses/Senates… then how in the HELL are you able to walk around smugly acting as though you KNOW BETTER? How can you ignore the claims that you are just not LISTENING!!!???
This is not over… keep fighting, and supporting the fight. November is coming, and the SCOTUS will likely be seeing this…

Congress is trying to bribe us with our own money. We need to take back our country from these tax-and-spenders that are leading us down the same path as Greece and Spain. In my district, we have Carolyn Maloney, who has voted for every major tax increase and spending bill in her nine terms. This is the first year that I have had hope to replace her with a real fiscal conservative. For those who doubt that this is a Health CONTROL vs Health CARE bill, remember that this bill calls for an additional 17,000 IRS workers and will NOT benefit a single adult until 2014.
