Different Day, Same Can to Kick Down the Road for Barry
I’m tired of watching this man “work”… or, NOT work.
Last I checked, this ass was elected to LEAD the country, not kick the can down the road, vote present, stick his finger in the wind, wait for someone ELSE to make the hard decisions or present plans, bills, etc… Yet, he has done it once again with his “budget”- he has shirked his responsibility to LEAD.
His latest attempt to “lead” is as awkwardly inept as every other attempt thus far.
First off, after trying to give us an inspiring “moon moment” speech about how we need to as a country, buck up, accept the challenge, be the America we all know we can be, blah blah blah, Barry once again as followed that up with a tepid lame showing that is probably more a result of political calculation than it is of moral and intestinal fortitude, or any desire to really take a risk and put his neck out there with some real leadership.
Here we are, looking at a budget proposal that ignores nearly EVERY major recommendation of the deficit commission. HIS deficit commission.
Holy CRAP, Barry, what the HELL did you even have it for?
This man spends more time trying to figure out what to say and not say than he does on what to DO. Saying is NOT DOING. Period.
Obama’s proposal would appear to shave $1.1 trillion from the national debt by 2022, Yes, I said 2022. Barry just does not get it. I, and I figure most of the American people, do not currently want to see what you will do in the next ten years, on somebody else’s watch. I and everyone else want to see cuts NOW, and not promises for “later”. But, that would take LEADERSHIP, and would require cuts in the areas that are the hardest to sell, politically, because they are in fact government tits that people now depend on.
Get it now America? You can’t just go on willy nilly over decades creating entitlements for people without eventually putting the nation at risk. Period. It is NOT the government’s job to take care of every damn need everyone has, and trying to do so (as liberals do, mostly to create voting blocks of people politically beholden to them) does nothing more than create financial liabilities we cannot forecast, and often cannot afford anyway.
With the future uncertain, and a huge amount of debt clouding any chance at the “American Dream” for those that follow us, Barry is as good as ever with his sermon like speeches which attempt to inspire, but I truly think most American’s are starting to see this guy is all talk, no “plan”. All talk, no action. All talk, followed by “now you guys take care of it and get something to my desk”.
Where’s YOUR plan, Barry? Where’s YOUR daring bold move? Where is YOUR ability to create consensus and get the job done?
What happened to “Yes we CAN!!!”??? Oh yes, by “we” you meant “all the rest of you… you can do it… I will just try to take credit for it.”
You were “hired” to lead. Do it. Quit kicking that same damn can down the road, Mr. “Present”.
THROUGH NAIVE AMERICAN EYES
That’s how some of our pundits and media anchors viewed the Egyptian revolution, and their comparisons to 1776 and American Independence from Great Britain were inevitable — yet so, so wrong.
Still, Americans reach to reference what they know and studied in their own history to make sense of what is happening in the mideast today and this is a dangerous shame because what Americans don’t know about the mideast and Islam is almost everything. Sure, it makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over to think they’re just like us — but they aren’t.
Sheltered and pampered in America, with almost 250 years of relative peace on our sovereign soil, Americans are turning into neutered pets with no sense of self-preservation as a nation or as a culture. Multiculturalism dropped into our school books and students were taught not just to respect but to revere minorities and other cultures, their customs and values, at the expense of their own. I guess this bodes well for Obama, who still has relatives living in huts in Kenya, without electricity or plumbing, but I’m not impressed. I don’t worship “diversity” either. All diversity means is “different; not alike” and this can be bad depending on the situation.
Progressives adopted a “Europe does it better” attitude that has not served us well. Today we hear politicians from Germany, France and the U.K. tell us “multiculturalism has failed” but we don’t listen.
We have been dumbed down, led to the trough of government care and feeding, and misinformed by our media. We have been politically corrected and told to sit down and shut up while Obama government cedes American land in AZ to drug corridors, dumps Obamacare on us in the middle of the night, and begins to herd us into obscurity as a nation.
I’m beginning to feel like the Eloi in the movie “The Time Machine” only I’m not being kept for food but for taxes to support the 47% who don’t pay federal income tax, the illegal aliens Obama will not stop and the aggressive unions who demand more than their fair share.
And what about Egypt? Well, 90% of them are Muslims. Are they just like you? Just about 96% of Egyptian women who’ve been married have undergone some sort of “female genital mutilation.” Have you? Some 70% of young girls expect to be cut by the time they’re 18. Do you? Some 85% of Egyptians believe you should be put to death if you leave Islam. Do you believe that?
While TV anchors couldn’t take their eyes off the rock throwing, jubilation and chants, CBS news correspondent Lara Logan was being gang-raped by some of those wonderful Egyptians only our kinder, nicer reporters called it “a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating.” Guess what they chanted while she was being raped? Jew! Jew! Jew!
I don’t want to be a Jew in Egypt. I don’t want to be a woman in Eqypt. I don’t want to be a Christian in Eqypt. All you stupid pundits got the 1776 reference wrong. These are people who have no idea what democracy is. These are mostly Muslims who treat women badly. These are people who hate Jews. These are people, and I don’t care how educated they are, who are trapped in a religion that is backwards and bloody and must change.
And to those American churches who are loaning out their buildings to Muslims for Friday prayer — tell them the building is theirs as long as they bring their women to pray beside them. Stand up for women. Stand up for America. STAND FOR SOMETHING YOU OBLIGING AMERICAN IDIOTS!
REPLY TO CAN KICKING
Leadership? Are you kidding? Governor Chris Christie makes Obama look like a sock puppet. Obama is good at one thing: community organizing with underhanded tactics and organizations like ACORN and the New Black Panthers to intimidate. That’s all unless you want to count his speeches which all sound alike after 2 years.
We need cuts in entitlement programs now — not tomorrow — but Obama will not make them and will not lead. Obama will not let even the words touch his lips. Dems go by the rule, “Suit up and Show up” and they think that’s enough. They showed up and created Obamacare which they dumped on the nation and it was done like they do everything: half-assed, messed-up and wrong for America.
While Americans try to get rid of Obamacare, Obama is already onto his next messed-up project: ObamaGreen. He wants us to run out and buy new light bulbs, electric cars, wind turbines and solar panels, all based on technology that is not perfected and insufficient to change anything but hey, his friends at GE love it.
Leadership? That would take acting like a grown-up and making the first move but our cool boy-president just can’t go that far.
