She Needs a Fork! Or Does She?
I say Hillary is done. So do most others paying attention, at this point
Hillary failed to show strong enough in Indiana, and Obama cleaned her clock in North Carolina. This puts her campaign now officially into “sputtering but indignantly fighting to still seat Florida and Michigan” mode.
The DNC is left now with the task of cleaning up their pathetic mess created by Howard Dean concerning their fumbling attempt to punish those two States. Were it not for Dean and Florida/Michigan, I am not sure Obama would have survived to this point. More on that below, and how the scars from Wright would have made a difference earlier.
The aftermath will be interesting to watch, because they have to unite a party now. How do they create a situation where Hillary can get out honorably? Can the loser lose graciously at this point?
I think not, and- wait a minute… nope, now the news is that Hillary will stay IN and fight! Wow… what gall. I suppose in the coming days we will learn more about what her intentions are, but I suspect she will NOT take this to Denver, even though there are reports she is still intent on doing so. I hope she does, and I hope the Florida/Michigan issue gets more traction, but I am betting the pressure mounts in her party for her to get out soon, very soon.
The real problem with Florida and Michigan is that the DNC needs to find a way to fairly dis-enfranchise voters. Not sure this can be done. But if any party can pull off such a amoral solution and sell it back to their own idiots, the left surely can.
Obama-Nation an Abomination
FIrst, let me say this. Obama would not be the candidate had the most recent rounds of Jeremiah Wright and his connections with others (William Ayers) been more prominently exposed in the early days of this campaign. Period.
That being said, what do we have to look forward to with an Obama Nation?
An Obama Nation would treat the war in Iraq like they treat abortion. If you don’t like a situation or find it inconvenient, just kill it and flush it down the toilet. The problem with this baby (the war) is that unlike fetuses, aborting this one will not make it go way, and we will ultimately have to lose more lives in a more unstable middle east in the future.
An Obama Nation will increase, rapidly, taxes on all. Their story will be that it will be the rich and business, but this will easily be explained clearly to all Americans that his tax increases will hit all harshly. For example, raising capital gains taxes sounds like it would hit only the rich- but a high percentage of all capital gains are income for people who are far from rich.
An Obama Nation would open dialog with terrorist regimes and leaders. This is a path down the road of weakness and our foreign policy for years has recgonized that “negotiating” with terrorists gives them credibility and clout that they cannot otherwise achieve on their own.
There are a lot of other issues we will have to address in the coming months, but let’s just say that with the eventual fall of Hillary, Obama looks like a good straw man to have as an opponent. All we will have to contend with is idiotic Hollywood-like, ga-ga over hype ideologues without any common sense, and a black electorate that votes 92% when dealing with Obama.
McCain would be wise to attack Obama on lack of experience and poor judgement. He can use video of Hillary making the same claims against Obama. How convenient.
McCain’s more middle of the road stance is likely going to be the achilles heel of this race for the Democrat party. His appeal across the aisle may just be enough to undermine either candidate.
Are we receiving the gift of the most inexperienced Democrat Candidate with the farthest left stance, and carrying the scars of racist Jeremiah Wright? I’ll take that gift.

Report: Leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq Arrested
Reports are fresh at this time of the arrest of Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, in Mosul. Still awaiting confirmation.
This of course is a blow to Al Qaeda, and a great accomplishment for a country that has to prove it can not only defend itself against insurgents, but also show that it can police itself without corruption undermining their ability to exercise political authority.
This is also a blow to the left.

I’m hoping that Hillary is done, and an era where the Democrats/liberals polarize around the Clintons. Most other prominent Democrats, as flawed as they are, are lesser evils in comparison.
As much as we should be concerned about an Obama presidency, Hillary Clinton would also carry out the same policies that Obama would as mentioned, and in addition, more the same dishonesty in the White House we had already seen during her husband’s administration.
Although I currently live in Washington (state), I’m a native Midwesterner - a native of Indiana - and I’m aware that Hillary Clinton would have a better chance at winning Midwestern states in the general election than Obama - except for Illinois - where there are a large number of working class whites. One state which has been historically crucial for a Republican presidential candidate to win is Ohio.

I’m on facebook.com and posted my thoughts on the Bush Administration and Iraq under the Bush supporter page. Many of those who became “supporter” did so just to bash him and his Iraq policy. It’s fine if they wish to bash him, but a point I wish to make now is that those who do bash him often have little more substance beyond saying things like “fuck Bush” or “burn in hell Bush”, etc. More “credible” statements show only a small and often distorted portion of a larger issue, or what I often refer to as the “big picture”. These often show the views indicating that “Bush lied”, the war was for oil, Bush’s selfish interests, etc., and these people often paint a picture that Saddam Hussein was no threat, harbored no terrorists, and what it comes to is that they demonstrate that they think that Hussein was a lesser evil than Bush is.
Such juvenile approaches and narrow views give more credibility to the Bush Administration than the discredit and demonize him and his actions. I’m not writing this to show support to Bush, but I want to show more clearly these critics are often doing the supporters, whether conservatives or not, a favor when you come to think of it by showing their lack of what I’ll refer to as intelligence.

This is from a post from Facebook.com, the first statement obviously from an anti-Bush person, and then my response. Just a follow-up to my earlier post:
“Its funny how we anti-Bush people have something smart to contribute while the Bush supporters, for the most, just praise and bash anyone with an actual decent argument.”
I wasn’t sure how to react - maybe some other Bush supporter could react better, I thought, but I’ll say that statemtent may be the opinions of anti-Bush people, but I see that a lot of arguments against Bush are speculative and simply the opinions of the anti-Bush camp. Maybe this war is not against terror, according to some people, and although I may not be able to prove that it is, I also don’t see proof that it’s not.
I’m not commenting on why I support Bush - I haven’t seen any arguments against Bush that are any smarter than those that support him.

You need proof that the war isn’t neccessarily against terror? Look at the companies that have just returned to set up shop in Iraq. They are the same ones that were removed when Hussein made oil a government enterprise. You guessed it. ExxonMobil, Chevron and a few others. Is it a coincidence that Bush is an oil tycoon as well as his Saudi buddies? Or that these companies will now be making the money they used to have to pay to the Iraqi government? Get off the Bush bandwagon. It’s a slow train to oblivion.

I have personally questioned many christians as to why they have turned against George Bush as well as the Iraq war when normally they would support conservative causes. The unpopularity of the president and the war have affected christian conservative support. Why? These christians have been greatly influenced by the “Left Behind” books and popular movies which most christians have witnessed on CD, DVD, or have read the books. Today, there has never been anything larger in the christian market than the “Left Behind series” which interprets biblical prophecy and demonizes Iraq as the location for the city of Babylon being raised as the last evil empire.
The premise of the book is built around the idea that Iraq and ancient Babylon are literally the seat of the coming anti christ and will soon become headquarters for the United nations. The obvious clue is that America is therefore assisting anti christ by helping Iraq grow into an industrialized political power.
Some christians wrongly conclude that our soldiers are currently dying for the anti christ and not for future freedom.
The worst conclusion possible is that American blood with tax payer support are secretly supporting the anti christ and his future throne. Like it or not there are many christians wondering if this is true prophecy. This christian publication is just as anti american as any terrorist production and even more dangerous to our national unity because it pretends to have a biblical foundation.
No wonder Obama is working hard to capture christian support during this election! If “Left Behind” truly represents Bible prophecy then Obama must be doing Gods will by declaring the war a major mistake. His support of Gay marriage and abortion or his promise to stack liberal judges on the courts are easily over looked if he can stop America from supporting the anti christ… I appeal to your patriotism by helping me to make this information known!
