“Brown” is Down Due to Lack of a Frown

Surely that headline will get me labeled as a racist. Go figure.

Jeremiah Wright can suggest that whites don’t know crap and that we do our best to hold down blacks, but if I just suggest that the stock of black people who support Obama is down (”Brown is Down Due to Lack of a Frown”) due to his inability to make a strong argument against Wright’s statements, I will be perceived as racist.

Here is what it the title of this section of the article means, in case anyone wants to get pissy and call me a racist:

“Brown” = the political clout of Obama

“Down” = You figure it out

“Lack of a Frown” = NOT distancing self from Rev. Wright more emphatically and completely.

This Country is wrapped in a battle, one in which those who would like to say something don’t (whites, for example), and those who should not say something do (you figure out who those folks are).

1964 was not soooooo long ago, and even thought this Country has come a long way from Jim Crow and the Civil War and slaves on ships, we still have a myriad of shackles strewn about and around the ankles of many different groups and individuals.

Almost everyone pays in this situation. Militant blacks perpetuate their own problem. Moderate/non racist blacks pay for the anger of the militant blacks because it, again, perpetuates the old hatreds and/or issues. Moderate whites just sit tight and wish that we could be in a different place, while at the same time noting that it is almost solely blacks and liberals that perpetuate the problem.

The ONLY winner in the situation are white racists, and that is certainly not the result most of us would prefer.

The left is hijacking America, and one way it is done daily is to make many of you all (moderate blacks and whites) so afraid to comment on race that you are actually hostage. If you speak up, you best be careful, or be taken into the realm of “racist”. The result of such indirect rage towards you is that you are silent and not active in the discussion.

Obama could have come a long way in his speech by saying this, but Obama missed his opportunity to make a racially uplifting commentary by instead he defending (in many ways) the same issues that caused this problem.

I pointed this out last night, and told you all I was on the cutting edge of that concept. Today, I heard the pundits talking about it all over the place. But, who cares if I am “first” much of the time. That is why I started the blog…

Let me put it another way.

When he (Obama) had the opportunity to make a statement on US racism at the level (exposure) that he had, he needed to make sure that he, for example, denounced the racist in the speech, and not just the racist speech. Obama did not make it clear he was not with Wright- he simply said he was not in agreement with Wright’s comments. There is a necessary differentiation between the two, when you consider the strength and frequency of the comments.

Can you imagine a white Presidential candidate saying they could not denounce or distance themselves from David Duke???? Can you imagine them saying “I could no more distance myself from David Duke anymore than I could distance myself from the WHITE community.”

Is that not code? What the hell is a “black” community, and why should I care? Should (could, would) I vote for someone who claims to not be able to distance themselves from the WHITE community? And if I did, would I not be at risk of being called racist, by blacks?

So why the hell would voting for Barack, because he is black, be different?

Isn’t Obama running on being the “I am not any race” candidate, but at the same time calling himself a “black american” by holding strong to Wright and his Church???

So why do blacks get a pass on this? And why in the HELL is anyone who is running for President (Obama) excusing his actions by referring to a “black” community that he must hold allegiance to????

Wow- I thought Presidents stood for ‘all’… Or at least tried to.

I am damn confused… Sounds like a convenient double standard to me… But, we should be used to that from the left.

Lawyers and Tigers and Whores, oh MY!

Ok- maybe you have had enough of the Spitzer whore (Ashley Alexandra Dupré). I have. I think we are at about 14 minutes and 45 seconds or of her 15 minutes of ‘Warhol fame’. Or should we say “whore-hol”?

But…

I had to make some notes on her most recent threat to sue the media over the usage of her images/likeness:

  1. Wow- you have sex with strange men for money, but get indignant for not getting money for pictures taken in the public domain?
  2. How incredibly ironic is it that YOU, the unknown whore, now has tons of money… just in time for you to be stupid enough to spend it all on lawyerstrying to get money from the media… after you have just made your fame from taking money from a lawyer (Spitzer), for being, a, um WHORE. In addition to that, you are suing the people that basically are making you famous- the media.

Rich in irony, no?

I hope her rewards match her intentions and actions. And I hope her “fame” dwindles like a meteor.

Protesting, in peace…

This is just a blip… but I think it is still fun to consider…

Small bands of protesters of the war in Iraq showed up here and there today. They were mostly uncelebrated, and mostly smallish in nature. One attendee said “This is puny,” in disappointment.

It is amazing to me that we see these strong opinions against the war daily in the “news”, but there are very few folks out protesting. Are we being told the truth? Do you think that when they pose the question about the war that they do it like “Do you oppose the war?” or “”Would you like to see the troops come home?” Such simple and stupid questions lend themselves to obviousyet misleading answers.

Instead, they should be asking “Do you prefer we bring the troops home, even if that means we lose political, geographical, or other “ground” that we have fought for and lost American lives for?”

Either way, the main point I wanted to make on the “protesters” is:

“Not one of you had to worry about being blown up by a crazy from sand-land.”

Freedom sometimes has a way of inoculating us from the alternative, does it not??? Protest all you want. Your freedom is being protected by soldiers who die daily in the Iraq and Afghanistan.

Perhaps if one of those explosive belt wearing crazies ignited in the middle of you folks, your minds would clear up right away.

I doubt it though.

Sniff this for a while… more potpourri soon…
