Close call for Venezuela

By a narrow margin, a potentially irreversible change in the politics and Constitution of Venezuela was averted.

Early reporting shows this was a narrow margin, 51 to 49 percent. However, Tibisay Lucena, chief of Venezuela’s National Electoral Council, stated that with 88 percent of the vote in, the chance for change was irreversible. (Ed- Apparently, she has never worked in Daly’s Chicago, or Florida’s Miami, Dade, or Broward counties. Don’t hold your breath until a few more days pass.)

This is an immense victory for Venezuela, for freedom, and for the Western Hemisphere.

Chavez gained in popularity by wealth redistribution on a grand scale. His socialist tactics garnered him great favor with the people, as he nationalized and took control of much of the most influential and powerful aspects of his country’s industry, banking, and media.

Essentially, Hugo bought the hearts and souls of the Venzuelan poor, and hoped to turn this bankroll of goodwill into VOTES that would allow him to basically steal control of his country, for decades to come.

Now, if that doesn’t immediately bring to mind for you this country’s Democrat party, you should read this again.

Luckily, for Venezuelan’s, they saw through this ploy, and realized that having Uncle ‘Hugo’ (in this case) take you under his wing was nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Every conservative knows that once the Government controls your well being, they control YOU.

Keep reminding everyone you know that is moderate, or mildly liberal, of that fact.
