Jackson to Provide Castrations for Presidential Candidates
Jesse Jackson put his foot in it with what they call a “hot mic” situation where he claimed Barack Obama had been talking down to black church people, and that he wanted to cut his nuts off.
First off, a “hot mic” excuse is like saying “that was my private thought… the rest of the world is not privy to this…” Sorry Mr. Public Speaker. Truth is, YOU should be smart enough to know better. Everything people like you say has the potential for being scrutinized.
Secondly, I wasn’t aware Obama still HAD his nuts. I thought anyone who has as little experience as he does, and at the same time is flipping on so many issues could not possibly have nuts.
Since this happened on Fox, I wonder if it would have been leaked if it had been on CNN or MSNBC???
Iran Flexes Muscles
Recently, Iran tested 9 missiles near the Strait of Hormuz, 1250 miles away from Israel. This test is more of a developmental test, but it is also a form of saber rattling that Iran cannot really afford. This is just more of an assurance that a missile defense in Europe is necessary, and timely. Interestingly, such a test also gives us some information as to the technology and other statistical data the Iranians possess. Nothing happens in a vacuum. And, like North Korea, insiders state these idiots are more about saber rattling than actual ability.
This is yet another reason for the US to have a presence in Iraq for a loooooong time coming.
More Heat More Food
Want a cure for global hunger? How about accepting global warming?
Scientists at the German Johann Heinrich von Thunen Institute have discovered that by spraying CO2 onto plants at levels that global warming fiends suspect will be prevailing by the year 2050 that the output for barley beats and wheat will be increased by 10%.
Additionally, the more CO2 that plants absorb, the more O2 that they put out. That last little tidbit of information is widely known by even the most basic of High School level scientists, but you never hear it in the news. Imagine if plants can absorb through growth the increased CO2 in the world, just by growing faster, and us planting more…
Imagine what that would do to the Global Warming crowd… finding out that Global Warming FEEDS people. I have to say I love irony.
While global warming is an alarming theory that requires serious consideration, I think that like any other geopolitical issue, it requires that the data be evenly assessed, and the players be incredibly open and non-partisan. Since we can’t expect that to happen anytime soon, and because Global Warming legislation and discussions will have HUGE effects on political discussions in the world, we have to take a “protect our interests” position on such a new and infant theory.
One thing is for sure. You won’t hear the left touting any of the “positives” of global warming anytime soon. Such partisan approaches cannot help the process.
Fillibuster Buster…
Barack Obama… moving again… changing his mind again… again… again…
On the vote on the FISA court legislation, Barack Obama is doing his damned best to be a centrist, by voting FOR a bill that he swore he would fillibuster. FISA and the consideration of such legislation which was passed runs central to the theme of US sovereign control over our rights to privacy vs. security, which is a leftist concern of huge import.
Obama has changed his mind on very many important topics thus far… and I think that the far left doesn’t much care. We cant expect clear judgmental thought on much from the far left.
No. This year is about winning. The hype of a black man helps. The fact he can be shot down over and over on the facts and topics means nothing to the left and many in the center.
God help us folks…
Get active… we can’t beat this fool by sitting on our asses.
Welcome to the Future
After reading a recent headline about our current enemy, I feel like I am watching a movie. Possibly a very bad movie science fiction flick from the past.
Let’s go back say, 30 years.
Two Right's could create a wrong…
The time is now. Concerning the surge, we have two things that are “right”, for the first time since the invasion of Iraq.
1. The violence level is low; Al Qaida and Iranian backed violence is now at the lowest levels since the original invasion, and the US and our allies have the majority of the country under control.
2. Iraqi forces are nearing levels where they can take over sovereign control on their own.
Now, here is what could be “wrong”, and it is dependent on the Iraqi Government. They might not be ready or capable of taking control and politically reconciling the major issues on which peace will depend.
The left has critically said, over and over, “The purpose of the surge was to provide an environment where political reconciliation, and meaningful legislation, which would stabilize Iraq, can take place. That has not happened. Therefore, the surge is not a success.”
Unlike the far left, most reasonable people understood that the time for political movement might lag a good bit behind the military action and success. However, that time, for political movement, starts NOW.
Mark my words, December 16th (give or take a week) is going to be seen in the eyes of those who both support the war, and also the critics of the current policies, as the time where we started our “stopwatch”, so to speak. I can tell you that the best sources are rumbling about the fact that people that both support and do not support the war in Iraq are now marking calendars, and looking at watches in Washington.
At this point, failure by the Iraqi’s to move forward on political issues is going to be seen as unacceptable by the US and our allies, by both those of the left and the right. And it will be seen as an opportunity by Al Qaida and Iran. And it is unlikely that any amount of patriotic right wing support is going to be able to stave off the assault if the Iraqi’s do not act politically well in the coming months.
Our national policy and diplomacy at this point is likely to ramp up, when it comes to the Iraqi government. The time for being patient is near an end.
While the left wanted to start the clock on the US forces and President immediately (prematurely) after the surge started, in all fairness to the issue, the time for that clock to start has arrived.
If they do not succeed, and with haste, the “wrong” will be committed. Although the left will try to paint it otherwise, it won’t be a U.S. failure, or a Bush or surge failure. I will be an Iraqi failure.
Unfortunately, I am not sure they are ready…
Close call for Venezuela
By a narrow margin, a potentially irreversible change in the politics and Constitution of Venezuela was averted.
Early reporting shows this was a narrow margin, 51 to 49 percent. However, Tibisay Lucena, chief of Venezuela’s National Electoral Council, stated that with 88 percent of the vote in, the chance for change was irreversible. (Ed- Apparently, she has never worked in Daly’s Chicago, or Florida’s Miami, Dade, or Broward counties. Don’t hold your breath until a few more days pass.)
This is an immense victory for Venezuela, for freedom, and for the Western Hemisphere.
Chavez gained in popularity by wealth redistribution on a grand scale. His socialist tactics garnered him great favor with the people, as he nationalized and took control of much of the most influential and powerful aspects of his country’s industry, banking, and media.
Essentially, Hugo bought the hearts and souls of the Venzuelan poor, and hoped to turn this bankroll of goodwill into VOTES that would allow him to basically steal control of his country, for decades to come.
Now, if that doesn’t immediately bring to mind for you this country’s Democrat party, you should read this again.
Luckily, for Venezuelan’s, they saw through this ploy, and realized that having Uncle ‘Hugo’ (in this case) take you under his wing was nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Every conservative knows that once the Government controls your well being, they control YOU.
Keep reminding everyone you know that is moderate, or mildly liberal, of that fact.
Scout's honor!!!
Apparently, we have been doing this all wrong.
One would think that either killing or incarcerating a terrorist is the best way to deal with them. I mean, after all, fanatics are not prone to reason, last I checked.
However, Saudi Arabia has a different approach. They simply obtain a promise… a promise to be “good”, so to speak.
In the kingdom, according to the New York Sun and the Saudi paper Al Watan, “The committee has met around 5,000 times to offer counseling to 3,200 people, who were accused of embracing the takfir ideology. The committee has successfully completed reforming 1500 people.”
How novel.
Us slope headed Neanderthal conservatives might learn a thing or three from these good Samaritans.
Perhaps the liberals are right. A little love, drop the guns, close Gitmo, raise your left hand and put your hand on the Bible… wait, something is wrong this scenario.
According to the Sun, they were required “only to promise to refrain from jihad within the Arabian peninsula”. How nice. Way to play as a ‘team’ with the world in the fight against terrorists. “It is ok if you practice terror elsewhere, just don’t do it HERE…”
Sounds to me like someone has their turban too tight. Part of the reason we have this problem with radical Islam in the world is due to countries like Saudi Arabia playing both sides of the fence.
Oh well. I hope, for the sake of the Saudi’s, they are right, that these yahoos are reformed.
Heck, for the sake of all of us.
The utterly BRILLIANT left wing ideologue scientist, Nobel winner, internet creator, and "Champion of the chad recount", Al Gore has once again wowed us with some more amazing feats of observation.
Gore says the most recent Myanmar tragedy, Cyclone Nargis, which claimed 200,000 lives, was the result of Global Warming.
Nice job, Nostradamus.
This has brought on a chorus of rejection from scientists worldwide that claim that NO storm could be directly attributed to either the global warming phenom OR the science... neither of which could support Gore's claims.
And this is supposed to be one of the left's "best". God help us. He could have been PRESIDENT.
The passing of Tim Russert brings to mind, for me, the importance of excellent journalism. Russert was one of the finest. While loving life, he would still grill your butt on anything that was the buzz... no free passes, and he understood that journalism was the 4th branch of the US democratic process.
Our US political process and the field of Journalism will sorely miss Tim Russert.
Paul Begala, bomb throwing liberal pundit and talk show man, recently made clear what the left truly thinks. And remember, the "left" is supposed to be the party that blacks should love and vote for.
Said Begala "We cannot win with egg heads and African-Americans. OK, that is the Dukakis Coalition, which carried ten states and gave us four years of the first George Bush."
I totally agree by the way. You cannot win with only black Americans. You CAN win with only eggheads, though...
This insinuation that African American support of Obama is the reason for Obama having ANY chance is correct. I think what Begala is saying is the same thing Clinton is saying, in a more veiled way.
And I think what Begala is trying to say is "Obama is propped up by an African American vote- and that is IT. He cannot win without it."
I agree... but I think it is a stupid to take that approach, or point out such a point of view, especially if you are a person from the party that claims (falsely) to represent the black community BEST.
