Ron Paul x George Soros = Ross Perot
When I watch the support that Ron Paul has had, I keep coming back to the same thing. “This does not pass the ’smell’ test’.” As much as I hate conspiracy theories, those of you who read my blog know that I do not expect the left to play either fairly, or within the law, nor do I think they are stupid. They might be voluntarily or genetically ignorant, but they are insidious as cancer.
So I want to propose an idea that I think deserves some attention.
Ron Paul has surged (in the past) in ways that do not follow the expected Republican data. Both financially, and ideologically, Paul is a definite outsider to the party. Yet, amazingly, he gets support beyond belief. So I am going to suggest why I think this is happening. And I hope that an agency that has more resources than I do will check this out and follow through with a report.
While Ron Paul might be earnest in his position, people like George Soros recognize that by law, they can only give so much money to the candidates of their choice. But, what prevents them from giving to candidates that are NOT of their choice, but still serve a “purpose”?
Considering the frame of mind of the far left (anything to win, including buying or cheating for the Presidency) is it not possible that the kind of minds that think like Soros, and have the money to throw at an election, would support a Republican yet Independent candidate that would could peel off a few million Republican votes, nationally, from the Republican front runner?
Can you say “Manufacture me a Ross Perot”?
I don’t think it is far fetched to think that people like Soros are playing every angle, and that they are willing to support a Republican candidate who is fringe, with cash, so that the candidate has the capacity to not only believe they have support (and thus keep ‘going’), but to have enough of that belief that they run on an Indy ticket even thought they lose their party’s nomination.
I have said this before, and I will say it again. The words “Ross Perot” had far more to do with Bush 1 losing than did the words “Read my lips, no new taxes.”
In elections that are won by as few as a few hundred thousand, to a million or so votes, it is not beyond my imagination that Ron Paul is a creation of the left.
Fencebuilding 101
Well, honestly, it is pretty simple. You mix some concrete, get some posts, make some walls, put up some barbwire, maybe some cameras complete with thermal imaging. I would add some landmines, but that might be seen as overkill by some.
But just about any idiot could build a fence in under the time it is taking the US Government. But wait a minute…
…did they really ever mean to build it?
News continues to emerge that those in Congress, even Republicans, might be playing games on the border fence bill, its funding, etc…
If true, the promise by Republicans to build a double layer fence was doomed from the start, as they sought to defund it no sooner than they had passed the bill (Secure Fence Act).
Apparently Bill Frist, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, and Dennis Hastert worked in backrooms to undo the 854 miles of double fence.
And the three billion dollars that is supposed to fund the fence? Well, there really is no current mandate, source, or controlling authority for that money.
Now, the some of these facts should not be news to most of you. But, the fact that specific Republicans not only never intended to support this, but also spent energy behind doors dismantling it is just flat out unacceptable.
Perhaps more on this in the future. But for now, I would strongly suggest that all of us keep our eyes on the Republicans on the immigration issue. Many strong promises have been made, and nearly none of them have been acted upon or made into meaningful legislation.
This should really outrage many of you. We should not have to fight both sides on this issue. Put your fingers on the phones and keyboards and keep up the pressure on your elected representatives.
We had better apply fence building 101 soon, or we all need to go out and sign up for Spanish 101.

Gore says the most recent Myanmar tragedy, Cyclone Nargis, which claimed 200,000 lives, was the result of Global Warming.
Nice job, Nostradamus.
This has brought on a chorus of rejection from scientists worldwide that claim that NO storm could be directly attributed to either the global warming phenom OR the science... neither of which could support Gore's claims.
And this is supposed to be one of the left's "best". God help us. He could have been PRESIDENT. -

The passing of Tim Russert brings to mind, for me, the importance of excellent journalism. Russert was one of the finest. While loving life, he would still grill your butt on anything that was the buzz... no free passes, and he understood that journalism was the 4th branch of the US democratic process.
Our US political process and the field of Journalism will sorely miss Tim Russert.

The most stupidest dumbest ignorantest thang I have heard from the left lately...
Paul Begala, bomb throwing liberal pundit and talk show man, recently made clear what the left truly thinks. And remember, the "left" is supposed to be the party that blacks should love and vote for.
Said Begala "We cannot win with egg heads and African-Americans. OK, that is the Dukakis Coalition, which carried ten states and gave us four years of the first George Bush."
I totally agree by the way. You cannot win with only black Americans. You CAN win with only eggheads, though...
This insinuation that African American support of Obama is the reason for Obama having ANY chance is correct. I think what Begala is saying is the same thing Clinton is saying, in a more veiled way.
And I think what Begala is trying to say is "Obama is propped up by an African American vote- and that is IT. He cannot win without it."
I agree... but I think it is a stupid to take that approach, or point out such a point of view, especially if you are a person from the party that claims (falsely) to represent the black community BEST.
